I wish I had taken more, Ken. I do have some others, but who wants to look at someone’s back?
Anyway, it was sure great to meet some new folks and renew old acquaintances!

It wasn’t really on their way home, but I did get a few visitors late Sunday afternoon: Ric & Jan Golding, Andy & Jane Clarke, and Bob & Elaine Temper.

It wasn’t a long visit, but Jan ran her train, and Ric ran his motor car. We discussed all sorts of railroad topics and then headed off to dinner at the local sports bar. It really capped off a great weekend!
Yes, we have made it back home. Got in about 8pm last night and the van is still full as we have to start getting our lives back together. I’ll post photos and comments over the next couple of days. Great show! Great trip! Got to meet Mike O’Malley and his wife. We actually had 3 young people that have been coming by the Timesaver for the last couple of years and they were good enough with it, that I was able to go see some of he show while they ran the puzzle. Our visits with the Brunts and the Chandlers were to short, being about 3 hours each and our half hour run by at Roger Cutter’s layout was just a tease of a chance to run on a great layout.
IT’s noon, on Tuesday… Got home, just after 9 pm last night… As of right now, the car is loaded, after transfering all our stuff from Ric’s Van last night and heading home… Guess, we’ll start to off load it in about half an hour…
Great trip, and Great friends, both new and old… Who could ask for anything more…
Thanks all
Cool Andy
geuss I will have to come over and see what you got. that way I know what to sneek out of your house.
Andy has the best prices in town…Free unless he see you sneeking out with it. Then it will cost you your life.
…grinning…
Okay, time to load a few pictures. This was the first time that the second version of the “Timesaver”

and the “Inglenook” puzzles were put together.

The “Timesaver” is all new and explained in the Articles section of this site. http://www.largescalecentral.com/articles/view.php?id=101 The “Inglenook” has been around, but never before hooked to this version of the TS. As you can see, it fit in the area. One of our club members that has passed on, Clarence Chaput, did the measuring for me during the last TSA Show in the Fall. I trusted his measurements and wish I could tell him how well it fit. I think most people didn’t realize it was an entirely different model from what was there last year. It worked fine for a first time set up and the only “snafu” was my inability to remember to bring enough split jaw clamps. We worked around that. The best compliment I could ever imagine to get came from Bill of the Central Connecticut Club, when he said, “Oh, you’ve got the point to point railroad”. Heck, I just thought of it as a switching puzzle. The kids gathered round and most got a chance at the throttle, if they proved they could follow instructions. We can get up to 3 working at one time, with one being the engineer, one the switchman and one the brakeman giving movement signals with a flash light. It’s a lot of fun.

Also, over the weekend, we had some kids come by that have been hanging around the last couple of years and took over while I took a break. That’s cool!.

David,
I sure enjoyed talking with you.
That was ONE GOOD weekend!
I just wish I had more time to do all the things I wanted there. I kept meaning to run the time saver, but just kept running into folks to talk to. What fun!
wish I was able to make it. hopefully I will be able to make the one in the fall. Would have loved to of met everyone.
There’s always next year…
300 and some odd days, and counting…

Nope, not going in Sept, I’ll be at Marty’s, running trains in Nebraska…
Once a year is OK
Karen and Denny Karner are going to the September show from our club and we’ll get a full report. If they would move this Fall Show back to the end of October, it may be something to attend, but the weather is too nice to be inside this time of the year.
However, I have to agree with Bruce “Once a year is OK”.
Well said, Ric…The only reason for me to want to attend another ECLSTS, would be to meet “The great guys and gals”, that hang out in “Ric’s Alcove”. But as my eyesight is not getting any better, I doubt very much that I could drive there by myself; so I’m dependant on someone else driving. Few around here would go to a show in September, and miss the Fall operations.
…and few seem to want the long drive in the Spring, any more.
Well I’m only 1/2 hr away so I must attend.
Fred,
You could always get Ric to drive!
Hell he drives Andy all over the place and Andy can see just fine!
Ric is a fine person, and a friend, but for him to drive to my place, then to York PA, is a bit of a stretch.
Even I, at the best of my freeloading times; would never even think to ask anyone to drive that far for me…and then there is the return trip…
Maybe I should contact Andy, to see if he would like the drive…at your suggestion…!!!
