No that’s not right i heard it was capon.

Richard

Cupcakes? We did find a cupcake shop last year. I’ll have to dig out the ad and post the address.

Cupcakes from a shop??? Never… I know who to ask for the best cupcakes…

Dave Marconi has the lead to the best “Upside-down” cupcakes…all you gotta do is say nice things to him and he can arrange a shipment…!!

I hope that you guys who were in the contest bring your models to the Drag and Brag on Friday night. It sure would be nice to see them in person.

It would be nice Bruce but I think I will have to pass on this one. lol

You’re missing a big opportunity, Alan.

Yes, Alan… You certainly are missing out on a great adventure…

Might want to book a flight now…

I’m planning on bringing Adams Station and Toonerville. Toonerville will be a diorama of the trolley and the “Toonerville Folks” that John LeForester created.

Being a first-timer, what’s the must-do, must-see at the show? My wife and I are driving down Thursday and staying at the Best Western Westgate until Sunday.

Cheers, Robert Bamlett

Welcome Robert

Easy answer …The alcove!

Welcome, Robert. If your wife is not as intense a railroader as some of these guys, PM me and I will be glad to provide you with fun other places with your wife. Shopping, eating, siteseeing, etc. The only problem is a lot of the interesting places are not open until Memorial Day.
Lou

Looking forward to meting you at the alcove. Please wear a nametag so we know who you are and can point at you!

The must-do, must-see really depends on what you like.

There’s lots of different vendors there to shop for what you might need.

Make sure you hit the layout room - there’s lots of creativity on display. It’s fun to spot the various little vignettes on each of the various layouts.

A LOT of the LSC folks hang out in the alcove in the layout room - it’s conveniently located between the food shop and the rest rooms. Take a run at Ric’s TimeSaver while you’re there.

Then, make sure you visit the Drag & Brag at the Holidome on Friday night. Even if you don’t bring anything, it’s a great chance to meet all the folks that post here.

If you have some extra time, stop by the RR Museum of Pennsylvania right across the street from the Strasburg RR. They’re running trains at 12, 1 and 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. I’ve been to the museum, but have not yet tried the train ride.

I’ll be enjoying my 15th Wedding Anniversary @ Home with the Bride! Don’t wanna mess up the Bliss

Thanks Lou - We are really looking forward to our visit and be assured the first thing we do is make a bee-line to the alcove. Being a new-be I’m looking for track and switches and Julie the incredible quilter she is will be checking out the local shops for fabric.

Looking forward to see you there
Cheers, Rob

Thank-you Bruce. We will try to make to the Holiday Inn on Friday night.
See you there, Rob
