Jane and I are considering our trips this year, and considering passing up York…

But, but but, how can we have a good show, without your room enlightening smile?

Hmmm… I wonder if this could be why I can’t make it to the show… Good ole smiley, effervescent, Grumpy hisself… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Nah… Sure wish I could get to shows again. We’re having some “physical” issues that makes it very difficult to travel. I’ve become Kay’s caregiver as she’s on O2 24/7 and Rheumatoid Arthritis has got her so she can’t get around without a wheelchair. That makes me the “designated driver”.

Hey Stan,

Glad to hear from you guys. Be sure to tell Kay “HI!”

Adjusting to our present needs, seems to be guiding all of us. Keep reading and posting.

Yup, That’s the way it is, Ric. Adapting to our present needs as we travel the road of life. We will not be attending this year, my wife’s youngest daughter is getting married in April down in Virginia. So our normally scheduled vacation time used for the ECLSTS will be used for that instead.

We are thinking about attending the TCA show at York in the fall, now that I have started collecting O-Scale also this may be the better option for us.

She actually has two daughters and a son.

The way things are looking it is going to be mighty quiet at the ECLSTS this year.

The PMGRRS will be there with our modular layout all you alcove dwellers are welcome to hang out by us and run trains.

Nico

The show cars have finally been posted on the ECLSTS website.

In conjunction with the Western Maryland Historic Society, we are also offering this car:

So it looks like my roster is going to get at least 2 cars larger.

The Wild Mary coal hopper looks most appealing. I am sure those who favour coal trains will get one or two. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

I had put in for the time off to attend the show, but I think I’m going to cancel those days. I needed to choose between York and Ken’s in April, and once again the Op session at Ken’s has won the toss. Hopefully some that can’t make York will be able to drop by Ken’s place. Rumor has it Ric will be there and possibly Rooster too (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Yes glad to see the WM hoppers I see a new consist in my near future, look forward to seeing those who will be at ECLSTS

Yeah, that’s a good choice - but one I’m glad I don’t have to make. However, if I have to choose an ops session will ALWAYS win for me! ECLSTS just seems like the start of the season and its fun to see everyone - but for me, it’s basically only the Drag & Brag that gets me coming back since we started skipping the show… Heck, if it was a longer drive I am not sure that we would go at all.

Looking forward to seeing you at Ken’s!

I’m thinking 2hrs of detention at the D&B for admitting that you have been skipping the show!

That’s one of the reasons why I quit going to the GR conventions. The Ops sessions became the priority. Between Fred’s, Bob’s, Stans and Andy’s, the GR convention took a back seat. These are a lot more fun, since the railroads we operate on are so diverse. I look at the York show as the start of the season, a chance to renew old acquaintances and meet new ones. And it ain’t all that far away.

You guys are the reason for the down turn of this hobby.

just kidding. I wanted to be the doom and gloom guy for once.

see all attendees at the show.
