Large Scale Central

ECLSTS 2018

Just booked my room for my favorite event of the year. and am looking forward to seeing some LSC friends!

After taxes and fees, the room at the Wyndham was $102 / night. Seems to have gone up a bunch! But you folks make it worth it.

See you there,

===>Cliffy

looking forward to seeing some LSC friends!

And the other LSC friends you aren’t looking forward to seeing?

I wonder what list…

Is there an official website for the event? I may be interested in going.

And there are two new motels to add to the mix. First up is the La Quinta located on route 30 across from the Lyndon diner. And at I83 and rte 30 the new Tru is available. You know the usual disclaimers apply. I have no affiliation with either, other than I know of their existence, and I did sleep last night.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

East Coast Large Scale Train Show

Yep, I have my room at the Wyndham all set. Looking forward to it.

Wow. They let me in as well! See you guys there! (Friday night Drag and Brag, that is…)

Haha, see ya there Bruce! No Thursday “early bird” meet for you?

Our train club has a block of rooms reserved at the Wyndham. My husband and I went four years ago when we were new to the hobby and had no idea what we were looking for and were somewhat overwhelmed. We’re going to go again this time with just the tiniest better idea of what we’re doing.

I’ve been in the hobby a lot longer, but still no idea of what I’m doing. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Plan to drop by the Drag and Brag on Friday night - it’s in the conference room - a great chance to meet a lot of the folks here and talk about what you’re doing.

“….when we were new to the hobby and had no idea what we were looking for and were somewhat overwhelmed…

Only got into the hobby in '98, … '01&'03 attended ECLSTS which as an experience I have described as, ‘mecca of G-gauge railway enthusiasts’ !! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

And when I shared that with peoples back here they looked at me with disbelief that a large exhibit hall(s) were full of just G-gauge product and layouts !! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Also took in other railway-flavoured sights thruout PA and MD during the additional 6-7 days of the trip down !

Hope you’re not so overwhelmed this visit

Is it too early to start a countdown?

Never too early, Cliff.

I’m guessing you’re anxious to bring Hale & Norcross to the Drag & Brag??? (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

I think you’re right, Steve. Not sure if I can handle the math, but hopefully someone will volunteer for that. Hmm. Jerry B also suggested something along those lines, but I’m not sure… kinda big. But I’ll definitely bring the ore bin at least.

See ya there!

Jane and I are considering our trips this year, and considering passing up York…

Oh, no, Andy. Who is going to keep Rooster in check?

I may come as as guest of Rooster.

WHY?

OH wait I get it …Ric isn’t allowed to attend this year so you don’t have a bitch to haul ALL your loot home that you should have spent on my college fund anyway!

I miss one year and everything falls apart!
