🄁 Drumheads?

And when I ask about DRUMHEADS…
…I don’t mean ā€œare you one?ā€

I’m trying to narrow down from these options to make drumheads. Unfortunately many of the links in the LSC Wayback Machine are broken or don’t exist anymore. But it was well worth it, just finding Dave Meashey listed under ā€œdrum-headsā€. :grinning:

I was thinking that 3d printing will be the way to go, but getting the right size with slide film will be difficult.

What are you guys doing?

Nice designs! How about a couple more for the menu, variants on your number 1: ā€œThe Red Roo Lineā€? Or ā€œThe Red Roo Routeā€? ā€œThe Rude Roo Routeā€? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Will it be illuminated?

Maybe someone has a backhead lighting kit? I forget who…

I am thinking of illuminating them, but slide film sizing and developing would be difficult.

I hope my 3d printing skills are up to the challenge. I’d probably use the mid-print prompt to pause the print and insert the drumhead image, then complete the print in situ.

Or, a two-part drumhead structure: Main barrel, with a step to support the graphic. And then a separate lid / rim of sorts, to snap on and retain the graphic.
