Don't forget

Don’t forget the Southwest Garden Railroad Show is Saturday and Sunday at Fairplex in Po,oma, Calif.

If you want to see some of the dealers who will be there look at their website at http://www.swgrs.com/modx-1.0.0-rc1/

It will be a lot bigger show than it was in the Spring.

Hey Doug,

I thought you were going to say, “Don’t forget to vote”. I’ll try to remember both.

doug are you going? I was thinking of driving up and taking a look around.

And yes to both. I vote absentee so I already voted.

Geoff, do you have a cell phone with you? Drop me an email at [email protected]

Vote Early, Vote Often!

Here in Washington State, we have an honorable system of voting. Our dead only vote once! :stuck_out_tongue:

Dave of Ozark Miniatures just sent this note:

Just a quick note to all our friends and customers. We will be at the Pamona Ca show this weekend the 6th and 7th But need your help.

At the last show our truck and trailer were in a sever accident. We finally have made it home and are finishing the repairs on the trailer and the display racks. Our problem is that our Climax display and pile driver display along with a few other were severely damaged or completely destroyed.
If any of you that have purchased either kit would be willing to bring them to the show for displays we would be extremely appreciative.

We also are having the website updated with a better search engine. This will enable you to find things a little easier.

We have also started filming videos on building different kits, which we are behind on right now. This will show how to construct everything for outdoor building to rolling stock kits. If you are new or have any suggetions on topics you would like to see , Please let us know

Doug,

I hope to meet you at the Fairplex Layout on Saturday. I will be running my Accu C19, #346 with a ten-car freight-running from 10am to 12pm.

Hi Gary
Sara and I have a meeting in Orange in the morning but should be at the show about 1.

Probably be there Saturday, just look for the big guy wearing a big straw cowboy hat hiding behind some big Oakley sunglasses. Not sure if I’m going to take any cash, I am technically still downsizing :open_mouth:

That sounds like JJ dressed for Summer, he never carries any money. ;-)

Me and JJ might have to have a Big Hat Showdown one day to see who's really got the bigger lid

Victor,

His hat is pretty big. I was told that it was once used for lodging for 4 families when all the rooms were taken at one of Marty’s events.

His hat is so big it didn’t rain on Marty’s layout when he was there.

Its so big, he carries all his trains in it instead of using cases or boxes.

Its so big that he gets 70 mpg when the wind is out of the right direction coming to Marty’s.

His hat is so big, he still hasn’t made it home because of a head wind. Head wind, get it ? Never mind.

so Ric how big is that hat again?

Sometimes it seems so big I could hide behind the label on the hat band, but I think that would be a very unpleasant event.

I’m even easier to find. I’m the guy with a beard, wearing a hat and using my Braille Institute stick so hopefully I won’t fall over something!

I guess I’m going to be the hard one to find. no hat, no stick, no face hair.

And if our warm weather continues – no clothes!
