CVRR Concrete bridge over Susquehanna River

Worst blizzard I remember here in NC was March 13, 1993.
We had an ice storm and snow, that was followed by 100mph winds.
The tops of 100 foot pine trees were snapping off and flying 200-300 feet through the air.
I lost at least 50 trees. Spent a long time on the chainsaw afterward.

I’m not allowed to have a chain saw. :frowning:

Look on the bright side. Look at how much firewood you have now.........;)

David, that looks great!

Jon.

So we had a hellish downpour this evening and there were reports of tornado’s in the York area moving East. Anyway I got a chance to see water flowing under my bridges…kinda cool!

Also found this and thought it was pretty cool. I need some back fill, steel bridges and plantings. Gonna contemplate the water feature a bit longer. Once again nice to meet and chat with other’s that understand and share their findings in this hobby. Good time for me at York!

“Shortybear” is dead man and didn’t rename anything. “Photobucket” did that for “Shortybear” themselves years ago. Perhaps you can figure out that mystery for me “Inspector Elmassian”

It’s pretty clear - “Shortybear” used the chainsaw in an unapproved manor (hence the nickname) The pictures went as well…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)

Shortybear is dead man

Shortybear might be dead Jim, but he lives on in infamy at the C.V.S.Ry.

David - You certainly are becoming Mr. Project here at LSC.

I believe Mr Chandler & Mr Smith along with a few others here already hold that belt…Perhaps in a few years with some experience under my belt we can hold a “Cage Match” suspended from the ceiling at the York Expo. Each contestant is given some various materials and tools, they have 1hr to make something to the death!! I think I will cheat and make a scale chair then smash it across my competitors back when they ain’t looking.

Well I couldn’t find the pictures I was looking for to revive "my house in 1/24 " thread. However I did find the old viaduct build pics and thought I would fix this thread. It is still in use and in good condition 10+ years later. I did add more extension to the (faux) concrete wall. And the track plan and other bridges have changed a bit but it’s all fun and playing with toy trains!

I love all these old threads popping up. I knew you were a great modeler from the bits I have seen. But so much of what you have built was before my time. But as these old threads are coming back I get to see your fantastic work.
