Looks like the grammar police are cruising. I agree with Bob. The apostrophe (’) when used, denotes either ownership or is used in quoted speech, in the first person only and denoted by enclosed double apostrophes ("), e.g., it’s (shortened form of it is). A plural word does not require an apostrophe, however, a singular noun such as pig, when denoting ownership, requires the use of an apostrophe, e.g., a pig’s ear or a pony’s tail.
