Made this in honor of a dear friend who passed away a few years ago, Named after Wayne Tullar 1945-2013
And before Maynard asks, the Shark is waiting for print time, the files are 90%
Wonderful collection of equipment… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
How about something in the RS-1 range. Like a frame and short hood section to go with the USA S-4 parts. I need a couple of RS-1’s for my Spokane International Railroad.
Chuck
Chuck, my plan is to do every single ALCo engine, so I will be doing the RS-1 eventually. That being said I’m currently going through all of the Century series now, which i’m about half way through 4/9
415 waiting on a printer
420 - basically done
C424 - Basically done
425, 430 - basic parts are done, minor changes required
C628 - currently doing the test prints
C630 - requires minimal redesign on the long hood sections
C636 - haven’t even looked at the drawing in over a year
C855 - havent started yet
I do plan on a boxcab either the 300 or 400 before getting back to the RS series
WOW, you could have a whole industry there. I am sure many folks would a this Alco or a that Alco. It would be a nice source of extra income.
Edit fur Microslop spell chequer
Great progress Mark. Do you have a ballpark range for pricing you can share ?(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Looks good Mark
Started this on Saturday
ALCo C-415
looks great!
You sure do nice work, Mark!
Yup, thems real nice. I am not a diesel fan, so I don’t know how many vents a such and such has, or how many accessory doors, or fans, or what not. But they look good to my eye.
The damn shark
part 2 of 5 main body pieces
part 3 is on for an overnight print
If you hadn’t said you were going to make the Damn Shark, we wouldn’t have been asking you about them damn Sharks. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)
Third piece printed overnight (7 hrs on the printer) I made 1 side with rivets and 1 without to see the difference, looks like i’m adding the rivets to the other side
Thanks Mark. It makes me happy to see progress on the Damn Shark.
Yes, I think rivets would be a good idea.
Onto the next project as the rest of the shark prints, working on wheelsets for the Century 628
and no I don’t think the painters tape will be strong enough to hold this together
I am interested in how you work out the C trucks. I have a project in mind that will need C trucks, and I bought a pair of 3 axle, USA power blocks.
