This is long overdue!
This almost as entertaining as reading a crime novel.
Here’s another one that’s all about the money.
They had some whopper snow storms in the Maritimes, we’ve seen that snow drift plowing CN diesel. But here’s a write up from the '80s
The Transportation Safety Board on the new and improved tank cars

Looks like they all want to see who blinks first while playing chicken right down to the wire (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-money-mouth.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-money-mouth.gif)
A preliminary news report on a fiery Alberta derailment — I guess a link to the original TSB Report will show up soon.

An update on the clean up of that derailment near Banff AB, all the cars have been retrieved except on that is still in the water - used as … a temporary dam.

From the “oh dear” department…
Another derailment on CN’s transcon in Northern Ontario … and the thaw along with the Spring runoff is not even here yet.
I didn’t know that Disney runs a supply chain, good read.
And this a “not so new” concept from “the Hunter” …
CN Transcon in Northern Ontario again
http://www.tbnewswatch.com/News/368644/CN_Rail_train_derails_near_Hornepayne
it happened 105 years ago
Mountain railroading was a lot more dangerous back then.
When it comes to derailments both CN and CP seem to have “communication problems”.

The farther North, the larger the problem??
It isn’t just the snow out on the line … interesting report from one of the eastern import points for road vehicles.
A lot of shortlines in Saskatchewan and more being added …
… now to get a map where they’re all located. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
Now this is a different approach … a residents’ panel to discuss railway projects.
