“Now I can start with getting them attached to the flat car and see how thhey work.”
That will require pictures and they suck up lots of pages - the race is on.

After looking at pictures of Class A’s I decided on one. Im going with the later production design. Im going with the square water tank, metal flat car frame and the large straight shell boiler. Of course since a lot of logging companies changed things on the class A it allows me to add my own flavor to fit the KMRR. Here is a picture of what im going more towards.
Looks good Shawn, waiting for build pics, should make a nice addition to your RR.
Did you get the LGB Boiler?
Nice choice of prototype.
BTW, congrats on your photo in the new GR!
C. Nelson said:Cal I did get the boiler thanks again. I thought I sent you an e-mail to let you know it came ok.

Gee. At my age I’d settle for a class B, or even a class C!
Looking forward to the build Shawn.

Any activity on the build, yet?
Steve I will get a pic up today. I got the trucks mounted just have to wire them. Next step will be working on the boiler etc…
Steve, just because the Skunkworks could have finished two by now doesn’t mean that the Kittatinny Mountain backshop boys are slow. They’re just…um… thorough ?
What’s that BotchMan thing? ‘Anticipate’? Or is it procrastinate? I forget. Anyway, he’s probably busy rakin leaves
LOL Mik. The guys on the KMRR are inbred. LOL Anyway I did manage to get the trucks attached and wired (Thanks Hollywood) I went outside to brave the cold wind and light snow to get a few shots of what I have so far. Next is clean the house and start on my pergo floor in the bed room. Then once I make an attept on that I will start with the boiler etc…
That’s the most beautiful powered flatcar I ever saw! I could really use that behind my Mallet since there ain’t no place for more weight!
jb could use that to push his dead Connie around.
Looks good so far. Nice!
Nice looking powered flat Shawn. Been taking tips from Rooster on powered freight car builds?
Looking forward to the build
When will it be done?
It will be done Nov 23 at 1:45 PM.
SWEET…can’t wait for the pictures!
I made a little more progress yesterday and today. I got the boiler and smoke box together. I decided to go with PVC pipes much easier to work with. I also went with the T Boiler instead of my original plan. I thought the T looked better. I also attached the smoke stack and light to the boiler. Next I have to start working on the rivets (fun) Not sure what Im going to use but I lan on hitting the store today and see what I can find. Then I will start with the other details when my ozark order arrives. Still a lot to do.
You can use HO/N track nails for rivets… if you like using a pin vise or have a micro drill press.
