Sure will be interesting! Competition for PIKO in the bottom segment of the market.

Looks very LGB-ish.
Looks like some photographs are stock LGB releases. Caveat emptor in this case!!! Think Lionel Polar Express or Scientific Toys quality wise.
Well, who will be the first to order some and compare?
Not I.
Jerry,
I’ll let you know how they turn out. In the worst case they can always end up in the attic with the first Big Hauler set.
Jack
Found them here too - http://www.hammondtoy.com/shop/agora.cgi?product=NEWAIDA%20TOYS%20FACTORY Are the flat cars LGB too?

Passenger cars are gone, oh well…
They are very close. The tanker is dead on so I would guess these are also.

Here is another thread at G Scale Mad on the same subject.

The R/C looks interesting. I would say the loco is battery powered as the extra track is all plastic.
That’s where it all started. With a report from Italy.
I wonder how much longer it will be until, say a Dash 9, or a SD 40-2 (or?) appears on the list.

Vic,
It’s my understanding what is in mainly in China is owned by China regardless if the manufacturer.
Ever see the USB cell phone cable for a dollar on ebay? They are exactly like the ones the phone stores (verizon and AT&T) sell for about $35 - $45 dollars.
There is one difference that I noticed though, and that was one has a black connector and the China version is blue. How do I know. I bought a couple.
I also believe in never say never.
Is it possible that Marklin sold some of the LGB tooling to a Chinese factory?
J.J.,
How about Marklin decided they did not want the molds, so they did not pay for them… That would leave China open to change the trade mark stuff & market them under there own brand…
Bob, I dont know about that, according to a poster on GSM, these were offered at the Spanish Toy Fair but had to be withdrawn over copyright issues, so I dunno…
I think the copyright issues may have just been worked out. When did these models surface? If it was after the LBoA/Marklin agreement…
