There’s even working models of water pumps.
Youre welcome
I can see it now. Sean is slapping his forehead. . .
When you are done with all of those we can move onto this one.
Then lets not forget about the lime kilns that were all over the place.
Oh and since you know so much about water you might like this as well when you are finished with the furnaces and kilns.
This may be my fault which usually most is anyway however you cannot say that I didn’t help you with your questions>
Nope I’m on the hunt for items around me…

I remember working here when it was operating
There is a siding for the coal deliveries… the boiler took up a whole building …
More coming to fill that tinfoil hat …
I’ve thought of doing a brewery or distillery in the location I am considering the furnace. Just something not to many people model.
Mums the word…it will be our secret. In colonial times, these iron furnaces were common. Even little Dillsburg, where I grew up, had iron mining and production.
Its an interesting topic especially for a guy who is no where near familiar with it. And one thing about having a “theoretical/what if” railroad is then who can tell you you can’t have one. So its been a learning experience and gives me something unique to model.
You should swing by the Mechanicsburg museum and check out my CVRR models on display there.
Yeah I know those guys and remember when they started very small. Quite the operation these days!
Been there…done that.
They are beautifully done, by the way!
That would be fun and being a brewery pretty unique.
Bruce is that a real life facade???
