I fail to see, how being old causes problems in having fun with a model railroad, except when age prevents some people from taking advantage of some new technology, to overcome old problems…in this hobby.

Todays trackwork. Have most of the major pieces in place. Runaround, and engine facility need to be finished, and then switch throws.

Bob,

What is the intent of the short track on the left of the picture? looks like a caboose track has been installed down by the turntable. This might be more trouble than its worth as cars parked there will be in the way of the switch throw potentially. Just my 2ct’s

Im thinking it might be handy as a yard switcher pocket. We’ll see…

Finished up the trackwork, except 3 or 4 switchstands. Ran the boxcab and a couple cars on all the track. No issues.
