Joe how do you know that?(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

How do I know? Well, back in my bicycle club days, I was a ride leader. One year I led 3000 miles of club rides. I also had (and still do have) a Bianchi 12 speed racing bike. Now Bianchi bicycles are traditionally a shade of green …

Well the frame I had happened to be rose colored ( I got a very good price on it ). The other guys on my rides always teased me with " It takes a real man to ride a pink bike". So there you have the story.

You are making such great progress you’ve inspired me to go to work on mine and get my Spring work done!

Thanks again guys

Not much work done yesterday. The weather turned back to winter on me grrrrrrr

Now you done it! Your tricycle is getting all rusty. How do you expect to get to work.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

You tell him Ron I’m tired of yelling at him to pick up his stuff …he left his tonka dump truck out as well!

So Rooster you think your younger brother might need a ‘time out’ from playing with his toy trains until he learns a lesson?

PS: Shawn the progress is looking great!

Randy

He needs a memory check and a good old fashioned rear end whipping for leaving his toys out. Just like our daddy used to give us back in the day in the hood.

This is Ron’s fault for bringing up a sore subject!

Ok the tricycle was finally put away…

The last two days I did some minor work on the layout. I started to put some of the buildings up and planted the rest of the trees that I had. I also started to build a wall at the edge of my deck to create a block and a scenic point

I also hooked up the two switches so they spring back. I tried the V method but for some reason it was not keeping the points flush to the rail after the train would go through. I ended up using Davis Manyards idea with a brass rod, a spike and by drilling a hole into a tie and into the throw-bar. That seemed to work the best although the pilot on my Mogul derails on one when it tries to push the point over. The other switch is fine. My Climax has no issues going through. After the train passes the point goes back and sits snug against rail. A friend is going to give me two electric switch boxes from LGB I might try that and use as a rubber switch.

Rock work along the deck Still needs some tweaking

I also got the well area leveled and measured. I got all the wood cut for the trestles. Now I just have to start building them. Next project.

Coming along nicely, Shawn. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

That looks so great Shawn. I know it is a lot of work. but you still left out your little red wagon. Looking forward to seeing some of your famous videos(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif).

Where’s my cabin!

Nice! That hat sure does work. Can I borrow it when you are done ?

Ya’ know and to think Jon, he was bitchin to me at the show that he wasn’t gonna wear it?

Next year I’m gonna bring him a box of diapers and the following year probably a case! By the time he’s Kens age I will have Ken drive a 53’ trailer full of diapers to York for him because Ken is the Keith Richards of Large Scale and will still be around

Don’t you see the outhouse or is that a chicken coop?

WOW, I wish my railroad looked that nice. Maybe in another 11 years I will be there.

When I have a pony truck climb the point, instead of pushing it over, I clean the gap between the stock rail and the point. When dirt gets in there, the wheel has something to grip to climb out of that gap, when its clean the wheel doesn’t climb out well at all. Just a thought.

Nice progress, Shawn

See those trees back there? About a hundred feet inside those trees. It’s called a “chicken coop”…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Thanks guys.

Rooster I still have to build you a new cabin. You were to stubborn to leave the old cabin until you realised that the old RR was being expanded and becoming more comercialized. So now you want to move back. Guess Ill have to build you a new cabin.

Jon you can borrow my hat anytime

Just a quick update. Work continues I planted few more trees and ground cover, added some rocks in areas and started the stone walkway coming off the deck. Im also using the time to run some trains and think about what I want to do on the inside the reverse loops since it large area to fill. My plan is to get some more dirt today and create some rolling terrain inside the loops.
