You were warned when he admitted to liking me once…

It’s the Pure Heart, methinks.

Devon,

As our British friends say “Keep a stiff upper lip”. You will eventually get all your projects done. It really doesn’t mean a lot if you get them done to a strict time table. BTW, A railroad is NEVER done! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I still like you, even after all this time.

A true saint, (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)!

Devon,

You have 16 pages so far and 1yr so you better get real busy!

I like pictures myself!

16 pages and not a stick of rail has been laid. WOW!, what a thread. Talk about advanced advertising. But quite often when there is this much advanced advertising, the product never sees the light of day.

Yeah, I thought the deadline was July 2016!

Greg

Greg, no it was/is July 2017. At this rate, the planned grand opening is in doubt.

or rename the thread, “Remodeling the Sinsley Estate”…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Well that does seem like what it’s turning into Ken. The steps are done and we even added one. We had always planned to pour a matching step into the shop so why not now.

The wife got all the siding primed. So I can finish with the battens. I will take some pictures this weekend to show that at least something is getting done.

But honestly I am beginning to feel like I am doing everything but a railroad. But it really is necessary.

But I do have to say I made an accidental discovery today. So we used crushed basalt for the exposed aggregate. That required me to sift out the fines. I used 1/4 inch hardware cloth. Well the left over fines will make a perfect ballast I think. Basalt is the preferred ballast in our area and I think this stuff will look great.

And as for the grand opening date no problem. I still think I will have an operating layout before years end.

Any year in particular??? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

Sure, a year sounds like a long time, until it turns into 6 months, then 3 months, then 1 month, then you are out with a flashlight the night before, trying to figure out why the screw on that one rail-clamp just will not tighten.

Andy, oh, so now you want clarification as to what year. Are we taking bets?(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Newp, no bets… I’m too cheap to gamble… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Andy, I only gamble what I can afford to loose. Therefore, I don’t gamble.

Yu guys do realize that the only reason this thread is 16 pages long is because of all of you given me a raft of excrement and me having to defend myself, lol.

David,

I know all about how time slips away, I am a charter member of the procrastinator club. But I have to keep telling myself it can and will happen.
