What am I going to do with a 24"trestle thats almost as big as my portable layout :P
Well with all these talented people here on this forum I don’t know if I’d stand a chance to win anything,
but I’ll give it a try by entering a scratch build I’ll be doing
of a Country Mercantile with a small Post Office attached, with a rail siding for freight,
as goes with all my dioramas,
lots of Northwest Cascade evergreen trees and brush.

Just about done with the GRAND Prize Should have pics up tomorrow of the Bridge…
Might use this as an incentive to sched’ time to repurpose a birdhouse into a (forecast) farmers grain elevator pre Feb.12th A item that has been sitting collecting dust in the garage for like 4yrs at least so long ago i can’t recall if it was a garage sale find (less than $7), or saved from a residentialconstructiondumpster heading to a landfill (free) . . . . hmmmm ! time !? doug c
Vic, if you can’t use a 24" bridge, How about a 24" photographic print?
That’s right, the second prize in this year’s contest is a large (24"x 36" I think he said) color print - on CANVAS. One of yours, or one you select from his stock. This prize has been graciously donated by member/photographer Dave Taylor.

Just have to but the to runners to support the track on… This is the GRAND PRIZE
That’s a “beefy” little bridge Daniel. Nice!
will make a good home to someone…
Just a reminder - the build period for this year’s challenge is now half over.
Unlike other years, I’m not seeing a lot of build logs yet. I’m hoping that, especially with such great prizes on the line, it doesn’t mean you’ve all lost interest!
I have too many irons in the fire currently, which is a bit surprising since I thought I was pretty much done bashing things. Been making building flats and got a USA mighty moe thats scheduled for work at the work bench.
I didn’t lose interest but we were away from home for two weeks. We got home last night and now I hope to get to work!
Is there a category for the latest start on a project? I started today on the camera car!

I’m using an LGB car because the weight should help stabilize it. I decorated it with railroad lanterns. Just had to make it look busy !

Here’s sone of the parts. I’m alsi making a load for the car along with it being a camera car. It’s a multi-use car.

The glue is setting up. After this is complete I have to clean my track and shoot the movie! But first I have to get the manual and learn how to shoot movies!
