I guess we are fortunate up here…very little snow at all…I wonder what it will be like getting to the Springfield train show this weekend…

Didn’t you hear? Your snow will hold off until April 1!

Now, if I remember correctly, that garden fence on the right is about 4 feet tall and the raised loop sticking out is about the same. That’s a boatload of snow !

Not that much snow - only about 8"...but power just came back on. Went off last night about 10:30.
Did you lose heat or do you have a wood stove?

No wood stove. But, we do have a gas fireplace. That helped a bit. Still, I couldn’t seem to get the internet going.

Should have pedaled faster :D Ralph

Or used that little crank on the side of the computer!

Exactly, Jon. What you can’t see, since its buried completely, is that teak bench by Majestic. Yea, we have almost 4 feet of snow in the yard.

Bruce you could have used smoke singles seeing the fire place was going?

For all the snow bound

Sunny & 50-60 here next three days. Gonna run some trains and squeeze in a little Railfanning too
Ralph

I couldnt live without my wood stove especially the amount of times I loose power. Nnow that have the Droid cell phone I have internet anywhere I go and when power goes out I just hook it up to my laptop and I have service or just use the phone. Its amazing what these cell phones do. Even has the kindle on it. Add a live steam engine. Im self sufficient now.

We heat the house with our wood stove. We keep the thermostat at 60 to keep the house from freezing solid, and run the stove to make the house comfy.

We haven’t used the heater in the house since 1983. In fact I have to sharpen the chain saw today!

You don’t count. When was the last time it was -5f at your house for a week?

In the early 1980s we hit 0 for five nights. This year our coldest has been 24. And NO SNOW right now!

How’s the snow blower?
