Finally someone gets it right! The town came first. Looks good Mik. With your statement maybe your town should be Slippery Slope. :0

On the plus side, My ex agreed to give me back my old 110 gallon preformed pond, if I drain it and pull it up... ,
She found out that he was temporarily living in a one-room apartment on the tenth floor.
So she sent them all collect via a wild-life shippers.
Full.

i mean, there are some suspicious looking stones around his station, aren’t there?

Since you have a “bridge to nowhere” maybe you can get federal funding. They already built one in Alaska!
Finally got back to work on this for a bit. I salvaged some block from my old garden at my ex’s (pond was still frozen early last week, so we couldn’t drain it…) Last night I extended the viaduct along the house. Looks like we’re going to have to go around the hitch instead of under it. Guess it saves buying tunnel portals…

Today, I built a siding to serve the ‘factory’. I never did decide what it makes…

Just before dark I got this far on rebuilding the long covered bridge (2 Aristo ones spliced together). It too was salvaged. The thing has been in pieces for about the last 5 years… ever since my daughter’s cat got stuck in it and we had to pull the bridge apart to get him out. Yes, I’m missing a couple rafters. They’re probably at the bottom of the old pond… It badly needs repainted. When I’m done this area will be over a corner of the pond…

That’s the end of RoW construction for a bit. I’m out of block again, and won’t have spare money to buy any for a week or so. Tomorrow I’ll turn some more sod, and dig around in the storage totes for a few more buildings, and the rail clamps…
Home Depot has a great deal of their plants on sale this weekend some buy one/get one…work looking good!
I’m trying to think of something super cheap, stable and fairly easy to bend to edge the blocks to help slow the ballast creep, especially on the elevated portions. Any suggestions?
My ideas so far have been aluminum angle or plastic/vinyl lawn edging, neither are a perfect solution.
Mik someone on the forums used Aluminum drip edge for that purpose
Progress pix… water feature… 2 ponds connected by a waterfall

Tomorrow I’ll probably put down track on the part of the roadbed that I have set… mostly to see what I need to get yet
The yellow ducky is a nice touch.
looking good.
Thats looking great. I like that mine area and the water feature.

One of the stray cats fell in last night, so they were definitely worth it.
didn’t know it was cat season. Do you need a tag for cat or is it a shot and scoot type thing?
Can’t shoot 'em, they’re ‘non-game’ aminalz… Can’t put out anti-freeze or they nail you for ‘cruelty’… Pound expects you to PAY to drop 'em off…
A .22 shell is still about 4c, BUT the fines are a couple hunnert, so whatcha gonna do? Some crazy cat ‘rescue’ folks actually catch 'em, fix 'em, then put 'em BACK. If I see one, I just let ole Toby out, and he runs 'em off. The stray DOG is the real prob… looks half rotty
One of my friends aboard the Vinnie-Maru hated cats, so I was very surprised when he found one with a broken leg. Took it to the vet for repair.
I asked him why, since he hated cats so much, was he paying for the treatment of that cat.
His response, “A cat with a broken leg makes a lousy moving target.”
Looking good Mik
I actually put down TRACK today… until I ran out of rail clamps…

Looking good Mik. I think that patio block roadbed is going to work out for you.
Your going to have to get after that skirting now. Don’t you hate it when pictures of your RR show places on your house that need work :o Happens to me all the time. There are a couple of photo locations om my RR that I avoid because of peeling paint that showed up in photos.
