You mean in yet more trouble than usual? :P

Great Bridge… How high up is it? High enough for an easy duck under?

I want to see some trains on it…

i really like it. Looks great.

Great looking bridge, Rick. That turned out nice. It will make a great photo spot.

Wonderful Rick! Your whole railroad is a centerpiece! You’ve taken benchwork railroading to a whole new level. I too want to see some train action on that bridge, maybe even some night action?

Hi all, Finally back with some updated pictures. Lost the computer modem last Monday and didn’t get the new one till yesterday. I got it all hooked up and tuned in but service is still intermittent. They have a field tech coming out Monday afternoon to try to trace the problem, they seem to think it is in there service lines. Seems like one thing always leads to something else when it comes to computer problems. Hopefully I can get this post done before it dumps me off line. Anyway, here are some shots of the first revenue service run on the new bridges.

Here my two chief inspectors are checking out the progress. Actually the one in the background seems to be more interested in the gopher traps that are set back there. This will at least give some perspective on the height and length of the bridges.

If I have an opportunity I will post a couple of pictures from our annual night run last Sunday. Thanks for taking a look.
Rick

Great photos Rick! I was wondering when you were going to post some photos from your night run. Those bridges are really massive!

Well that last Pic sure gives it some scale… What Gary said… Massive … and answers my ? Duck under? nah! Drive under would be a better answer.

I will say again…Impressive! Even more so with a train on it…

Outstanding! It really looks great with a train on it. Very nice work.

That is really nice work. Dave is right. That is one tall bridge!

Truely impressive…

Thanks for all the comments on the bridges guys, we are very happy with the results. We had our annual “NITE RUN” last Sunday evening and had a great time. The weather cooled off after sundown and we had a bright moon to help all us old farts stumble around in the dark running trains. Instead of starting a new thread I thought I would just drop a few pictures in here. The pictures are twilight shots rather than full dark shots for no other reason than better visibility  Number 21 coming off the Eel River Bridge and heading toward the Humboldt Yards.

Ten Wheeler #21, the evening passenger run from Redding, drifts past the Flaiz Dairy on it’s way into the yards and station at Eureka.

AHHHH, the little known narrow gauge Southern Pacific GS4 in Daylight colors drifts into the station at Redding where passangers are waiting to board.

We caught the tail end of the “Daylight” as it crosses the South Fork of the Trinity River near Smith Camp Resort. Looks like the Broken Spoke Bar is all lit up but short on customers.

The early afternoon LCL run into Eureka is made by the rail truck and shorty box. Caught here crossing the Eel River Bridges.

We had lots of fun but once things get started I don’t get much chance for picture taking or even just watching. I think next year I will line someone else up to do all the time tables and coordination of who is running now and who is next. Thanks for taking a look.
Rick

Nice!

This one RR I would like to see. The bridge is great. Paul

Great rail truck!
