We will be there tomorrow, LORD willing. Creek rose last time, didn’t stop us. Kayaks are ready.
Intense sunshine impacted some operations, but a beautiful day was enjoyed and some of us watched the movie “The Martian”, while hiding from the noon day sun. I think Andy has seen it many times and says it is training for creating a garden railroad in a harsh environment. Planning to run the “Freeman Spur Local”, early this morning.
Is the operating session still on for today?
Yes it is, we have a lot of work left from yesterday. Some of us spent too much time sitting on the caboose !

It was a very hot, extremely sunny weekend… Was a great time with friends and trains, not to mention lots of cool liquids and ice cream… About a dozen folks each day participating… Pictures will be forth coming in the following week… The new switching puzzle at Freeman Spur received some nice comments… Only 5 trains were run on Saturday, which was enough, without getting anyone seriously heat-stroked… Sunday saw 10 trains run amid the heat and more humidity…
