Looking good Andy

Got a little more work done in the past week, or so… Have a mainline, and a siding for each, Memphis and Evansville:

looking good Andy! Can’t wait to see it next week!

Looks like a fun weekend coming up.

Ditto

I see you have squatters just past Hilltop. Hope they don’t give you any problems on your ROW. :)

Looking forward to seeing trains running. Great addition.

Im curious. It looks like there is quite a lot of undulation in your track. Or is this just a optical illusion.

Jake, currently, there is.... Ballast Crews have been tasked now to work the track and ballast.... :)

Track connections all completed this morning… Now comes the fun part… Ballasting and leveling… made an Inagural run this noontime:

Looking good Andy. I assume there are slow orders on the new track until the track geometry crew finishes up.

John, Of course.... :) That's also the reason, the inagural run was made without freight cars....

The more I think about it, I want to leave some ups and downs to the track… Just need to make sure that they are not very severe… levels the track is mostly side to side, to make sure the trains don’t rock left & right, as the trucks don’t have the flex in them to ride the rails that way…

That would be neat. Would look more like your typical granger railroad line then.

Ric came by and helped ballast:

A little more ballast work, and I’m about as ready as I can get for Operations this weekend…

Pretty impressive

Cool Andy,
Hope you all have some nice weather and a great time this weekend
Ralph

Really nice, Andy. Have a great time this weekend.

Nice size railroad, looks great.

You guys look cute with your knee pads and it’s nice to see Ric with a Chessie unit! …:)…

David,
It’s supposed to be in the mid 60’s here in Northern Ohio this weekend, so maybe we could spare you a few degree’s to get you out of that cold gear. I hope I’ll be out operating, but I have a bunch of yard work to finish up before the white stuff starts up. I can only hope…

You’ve done a bunch of good work there, so keep up the good work. Things are really starting to look nice.
