Large Scale Central

Bluestone Southern Indoor Upper level layout

Tank Farm looks great! I’m trying to get perspective of the location in the basement. In the first picture, is the trim molding part of the window looking in to the crew lounge? I really like the way the edge of the tanks are the edge of the wall corners.

Would it be possible to get a “settings” shot? I’m having trouble visualizing just where this is…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

OK, settings shot:

This is from the middle of the aisle, looking to the back of the basement and backyard…

Window that the trains run out is to the right of the picture, way back…

This shot is from the rear of the house, looking towards the front… The upper level industrial park can be seen at the rear

of the picture.

Below is another shot of the tank farm to give the tank farm a different view than before…

Hope that clears up the location… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Now I know where your talking about…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Wow, that sure does look nice! Thanks for that shot it REALLY helps!!! How long does it take your artist to do all of that? (It would take me several months, at least - but only if I didn’t give up about a week into it. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif))

Right where I thought it was. Great shot!

Bruce, she usually comes and works 2 days a week… She stays overnight.

I believe that the tanks to this point have 3 weeks work, (equals 6 days)…

But, during that 6 days she went back to the military base and added

some Humvee’s on the roads… (Yes I am demanding)… hehehe (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

My artist worked on the tank farm painting again… Mostly working on the

small details, like the stairs and railings and some ground details…

Just thought I would post some updated pictures…

Below picture is looking south to north in the basement… (back to front)

Below is a close up…

Below is looking north to south… (front to back)

Below is again, a closeup…

Decided to put some tank cars on the siding to give a reference as to the size of the area…

Thanks for looking…

Wow! I’m an Oil Magnate! Whoda thunk it…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Looks great, BTW!

Oh, great… more of this, I guess…

It DOES look good, Andy!

Bruce;

Aw heck, John Ross (JR) Ewing was an oil magnate, and nobody trusted him!

Jane;

Great backdrop. It really adds some depth to the layout.

Have fun, David Meashey

Is that fuel or mentaine gas ?

Neither !!

It’s “Brunt Fuels” so the tanks are full of coffee and iced tea!

There must be a donut in there somewhere!

Better be Duncan Donuts, not that Krispy Kreme crap… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

about a half dozen…chocolate frosted…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

(don’t tell Dale)

And the next addition to the wall painting:

Starting at the tank farm, there is to be some pasture area starting

just to the right of the tank farm… Area where the window is will be

cows in a pasture area…

An expanded view of the area showing the right side of the window… Just to the right of the picture

is the doorway into the ““Crew Lounge””…

In the picture below, you can see the door and thru the window, you can see the ““Crew Lounge””.

Below is a close up of the area between the window and the door…

And, that’s all for now…

Very nice! Like the stream. She is really good at water and streams. I could comment about how realistic the stairs and ironing board look, but that just wouldn’t be right. Its like looking through a window of the real World. Happy New Year to you guys! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Really, really nice. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Maybe she could paint over the wall plate to hide it more into the mural or use something a clear screwless wall plate.

Can’t possibly be an ironing board as dad don’t iron nothing !

Ric, the ironing board is in the crew lounge because, our dryer broke… Washer and dryer were about 15 years old…

Figured we’d just replace them both, so all the loose stuff in the laundry room was moved out into the crew lounge…

Mark, I like that switch plate cover… Left it in its’ natural state on purpose…

Son, sure I iron stuff… Lay down in front of my truck and I’ll show you how I iron… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
