Bluestone Southern CEO Hospitalized

Great News!! Hopefully on the road to recovery!! Wish him all the best and a speedy recovery!! The Regal

So glad he’s doing well! We’ll pray for a speedy recovery now.

Thanks again Ric, pass Andy our best. Hope his recovery goes easy.

Tell him we are happy and hope the best for him, also have him work hard in re-hab!

Great news, Ric. I hope you warned the rehab facilities in Metro East like I shared in the email…

“Maybe we should alert all the rehab facilities in the Metro east area that the bear is on the move…”

Yes, it’s good news that Andy’s out of ICU.
Thanks for the update Ric.

Great News!

That is great news Ric. I know he has a ways to go but that is a big step forward. After I had my diabetic stroke I was off my feet five weeks and I had to relearn to walk and talk! He will have lots of walking in his future!

I had a chance to visit Andy on Fri afternoon before his move and while I didn’t get a chance to talk to Andy as he was mostly out of it after getting off the dialysis machine, Jane and I had a nice long and pleasant chat. Jane was very upbeat and very grateful for all the prayers and thoughts from all you guys. He has come a long way, but he also has a very long way yet to go.

Both Andy and Jane were sorely missed at the KV Ops session, it just wasn’t the same without them, but we muddled through it and managed to have a fine time regardless as Andy and Jane were in our thoughts the whole weekend. As Bruce mentioned before, "we missed our Yardmaster…!!

I just mailed him a card - one of the things I put inside was to work toward the goal of being able to make it back East in the spring for York. I don’t have any idea if that is a reasonable goal or not, but I’m hopeful that in six months he’ll be back in the groove.

Jon,
It is reasonable enough that we have made their room reservations. We also expect it to happen. It is a good goal.

Great news , Andy is on the uphill climb now , prayers were answered .

Just got off the phone with Jane. Rehab is progressing well. He is not totally off the vent, but has 16 hours under his belt without using it. They say he needs 48 hours before they call that part done. No antibiotics and the white count is normal. No visitors right now. They are kind of isolated away from all of us, but know there are people willing to help if and when needed. Keep those thougths and prayers flowing guys, the rehab center hasn’t seen him at 100% and I don’t know if they are prepared for that.

Keep the folks at the rehab center in your prayers as well! :)

I had a chance to be with AndyC for about 2.5 hours, yesterday. His recovery is progressing faster than anyone thought, but slower than he will accept. He is very appreciative of everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the update Ric, nice to hear continued progress. Want to see him hale and hearty again at Marty’s in 2010!

Thanks for the update, Ric.

Actually, that's probably good, to a point - shows he's a strong will. That, and the positive expectations of everyone else, are known and shown to be an influence.

Just remember to keep the pace and not try to push and hurry - you know what happens what one pushes and hurries tracklaying . . .
And same principle applies in the rest of life . . .

Ric,
Good news.
Now we just need to get him a laptop so he can tell us those military RR stories while he recovers.

Good newas all around.

I’m sure I could scrape up a free laptop that would work plugged into power and internet if there is a need. Just don’t expect fast
