Large Scale Central

Block of stores

This build has been awhile in the making. First was the wall scribed from sheet stock

Next I cut the forms for the bay windows

The windows for the bays had to be made

The forms needed scribed siding

Trim layers cut and fit

Checked for fit and overhangs added

Then I decided to add a third floor section with dormers

More window trim and some color added

Testing the bay colors

Work on the adjacent roof trim

Third floor with paint

I’m working on the second floor windows at the other end of the block, and a third roof trim area. This will be a four sided structure and not just false fronts, but it will take awhile scribing the brick and block work. Wood siding will also be scribed and used to the rear of the buildings. Updates will be slow but they will be done. Projected completion date is in the future.

Wow Holywood they look good. I really like the way you did the windows.

Very, very nice Dave!

A master at work for sure…lookin’ good Hollywood!

neat project, Hollywood…

You’re paintin mighty slow.
That’s all you got done in a month :open_mouth:
But I guess it takes time to do it right
It’s lookin mighty fine
Ralph

Damn, that’s a lot of work!
I’m glad I build wooden shacks.
Nice work!

that promises to become a very intyeresting building.

the pipe used - is it 2" or 3"?

Very nice - Love the look of the bay windows.

Thank you all.
Korm, that would be 2"

Played with paints yesterday and came up with a workable combination for the drug store front.

Now I’ll be able to do the far end of the block

…grinning…

Is that a model of a particular block of buildings? I’ve never seen bay windows on a second floor like that. Very interesting indeed!

Ken,
Downtown York has plenty of rounded bay 2nd story structures

Hes usually driving…since Im the designated drinker…

Wow!

Now I’m ashamed to show mine. It mostly looks like a dorm refrigerator so far.

Not much done this week. It takes time to do the hand scribing and the details. The full front

Corbel detail

The last front with roof roughed in

The windows are just set in place. The top edge still gets trim. And now I can start adding the side and fire walls.
