there you go Bill, if you can’t hear the wife then you can’t hear the air compressor. When she complains you now have the excuse that you neither heard the air compressor or her nagging you about it.
She has complained about a compressor being run overnight on occasion in the bedroom, but I have never heard it… slept right through.
Absolutely. I’ve found my eyes and fingers are things I want to keep.
When Dewalt dropped their 10.8 volt system, I started looking for a light handyman chainsaw in a brand that would support its products, and found an M12 Milwaukee system.
So this morning i got excited. I found Milwaukee make a pin nailer!
BUT don’t import it to Australia… sigh.
Bill I am a tried and true Dewalt fan. Very heavily invested in the yellow and black. But if I could start over with my collection of cordless toys I would switch to Milwaukee. That is what we use at work and it is far superior in quality. Mainly in battery life is where I see it. Not in the length of charge. I am talking how long a battery lasts before it needs to be replaced. Now honestly I can’t say why this seems to be. I can’t imagine there is much difference in the manufacturing of the two batteries. All I can think of is that the tool itself is better made and more efficient.
While Milwaukee may not ship to the land down under what about using one of these third party shipping companies or having someone mail it to you? I mean you could buy it here in the USA and then have someone fedex it or something like that.
Bill this will not remove fingers just ventilate them a bit!, just make them leaky!
Sorry to derail your thread for a moment, Bill.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Bill, I mentioned earlier that I print squares for modeling purposes. Since you have a 3D printer, here is one that comes in handy. I have other sizes available and can provide a custom size if you let me know what you need. I print them with PLA.

No Real Progress Report…
It’s been a slow day, but I spotted a flock of Aldi clamps, perching on my Mik
nice pics.
really does not look too different from our area.
Korm do you have roos:rofl:
It is fun having our couple of friends from the southern hemisphere participating in the MIK. Such an odd thing for it to be during the “summer”.
You think THAT’S weird… If Bob’s proposal goes forward at the next upcoming solstice, we will be attending summer school (MasterClass) in winter.
Korm do you have roos
that depends.
no kango-roos, but many roos-ters
Such an odd thing for it to be during the “summer”.
pfff - when else, if not in summer? we have 45 to 50 weeks summer per year down here…
have 45 to 50 weeks summer per year down here…
I know you told me once but where are you Korm. I realize that there is as much diversity south of the equator as north of it. Places here in the US experience 50 weeks of “summer”. But being almost half way between the equator and the north pole we very much have all four seasons. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around what places in the southern hemisphere and specifically south America that would be relatively the same climate as we have here in N Idaho. All I can think of is middle of Chile but obviously Argentina would also see similar climates. Chalk it up to ignorance but it is interesting for to me to imagine those places south of the equator that are similar to where I live.
Yeah Korm, when is the Asunción National (LSC) Garden Railway Convention (Train Ops) scheduled?
Not that I need a reason to visit Paraguay, but 2 reasons would be better!
All I can think of is middle of Chile but obviously Argentina would also see similar climates.
well, to get to a climate as you have, i would have to go about 2000 miles south (as the crow flies)
we are nearer (from the south) to the equator, than the southern cape of florida is from the north.
i live in the zone just south of the amazonas djungle.
but they got the rain, we got the dust.
when is the Asunción National (LSC) Garden Railway Convention (Train Ops) scheduled?
the next Paraguayan National Large Scale Asociation’s convention is sceduled for the day after my next layout is finished.
if all known members attend, i will be alone.
Not that I need a reason to visit Paraguay…
right! one doesn’t need a reason - only enough money.
i tell you, we got miles and miles of beaches - but we are just a little short of water.
All I ever learned about Paraguay ln grade school is that they had Tin Mines
that is news to me. i didn’t know, that we have any mining down here.
