After the Ravens self-destructed two weeks ago, Linda and I are still either in mourning or boycotting… it’s emotionally complicated, depends on the day. But no, we’re not doing SB tonight.
And since, for the first time, I’ve had covid for a week (and am still testing +), I’m still banished to the basement. So, no TV down here…

I was really hesitant to join the Mik-mas celebration this year. I thought; I’m too new; these guys are really good. I thought I really need to get the railway up and running first, and up-skill to something reasonably competitive. But as I read through the old Mik competitions it was reassuring that the competition appeared to be fun and was designed to make everybody think outside the box and become a bit more creative. Amusingly the Mik posts with lost photos, were the most persuasive reasons to join. (Not that I don’t want to see Ralph’s Goat Mik photos, but I had some laughs out of context.)
The past 20 years, I’ve had a Christmas train, but was “Gunna” build a great railway once I stopped renting and built a home. So, I wasn’t even up to a *Pre-Devoning stage on the railway. (Another thing I learned during the Mik)? I’ve had plans for a loco shed sitting around for 10-15 years and was still hesitant to build it as I knew it was going to be huge for the amount of real estate available to me. I am pretty confident that a curved 3 bay round house was a no go, so I settled on a 1 or 2 bay monstrosity that I would have to fit somewhere.
When the Mik criteria appeared I thought, I might build the office just in case it might fit the railway, and if not, I’d have some thing else for the future. So, here’s what has been going on in the background of my Mik build.

That came out great Bill. But you said “only this part” but it appears you have quite a bit of the larger structure built. I’d like to see a pic of where you are at in total. But the office portion really turned out nice and you definitely fit right in with the MIK Cult uh er Crowd I meant to say.
Bill not sure you were aware of this as the new guy but this is a family friendly site. Some might be offended at you building a cat house (house of ill-repute).
