My maintenance crew has been busy making repairs from the deluge we received Saturday. And it wasn’t a hurricane!

That same thunderstorm that dumped on us started that fire with a lightening strike. It burned 375 acres but stayed about three miles from us.
Was that the Cajon Pass fire?
No, the Cajon Fire was Monday (Ken Fire) the Oasis fire was in Pinon, splitting the LA and San Bernardino County line along SR 138
We were at Upland Trains and came back “up the hill” to see it right after it started. We turn north at Oasis.
Had a nice look at the flames!

I’m just playing catchup on the list and Verizon “lost” yjis posting! That latest deluge and wildfire was on that Saturday.
How’s your building doing?
I’ve been leveling track, letting the trains run for extended periods to work the kinks out of the system… I have 3 USA Trains #6 switches and of course the Chinese switch machines are crapping out already.
Yeah fire season is putting a crimp in my operations but that is part of the job.
BTW, my Brother and I intend on making it to the open house.
