JOHN, HERE ARE THE ONES i GOT: Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZakeoQlPjnA, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgoR2BG4G68, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1toTSxwPo-8
You two are on a roll!
If you build a tunnel make sure it’s tall enough. When I built mine I estimated tunnel height from my Mogul.
Then I got a Shay. It didn’t fit! So I stretched my arms and lowered the track in the tunnel. That worked until the flash flood.
The tunnel was like a magnet for sand from the runoff so I’m digging out the tunnel, releveling the track and rebuilding the tunnel!
more track came it, I will finish off the long siding and lay the siding and spur that heads to the mine on Saturday.
I have furloughed Juan, Jose, and Roberto from the new construction crew for a while. They just finished John’s Tickets and Fine Food as part of the Ciudad de El Patron Train and Bus Depot. It was abandoned by SP. Retained color scheme but was re-signed en espanol…LOL. And that is no poop. Wait until you see the photos.
Okay made a bit of progress today, the passing track at Otis is complete and the tracks have been laid out in the small junction named Lassen.

next to tackle is digging this area out and putting the damn trestle in. This branchline runs from Lassen Junction to the the El Patron mine and nearby town “El Patron De La Cuidad”

Nice progress John! Where’s your pet rattle snake? HeHeHe
The snake was dispatched.
Where was he dispatched to? Everyone needs a pet for there railroad.
i believe he is in snake heaven right now chuck… hehe
Oh, how sad… I hope he’s happy there. BTW your railroad is coming along nicely.
Well I debated what to do with the snake, but with a nosey dog, nothing good would come with him hanging around the yard. Thanks, we were just looking at photos and realized we broke ground at the end of April and didn’t think the mainline would be completed this year. I still need to hold a gold spike event.
Knock on wood I have yet to see a snake this year.
Haven’t seen one railfanning yet but I have seen one around, I have a family of black snakes living nearby. One of them is 6 foot long or longer.
Today I lengthened my long siding all the way the the switch leading El Patron at the small junction at Lassen. With this 18 foot extension, the operating department has re -designated it from a “siding” to “double track” to a projected increase in traffic over the line.
Pictures?
Tomorrow in the daylight.

hopefully these are better photos.
Boy, what a difference a few weeks makes. Looking real good. Can’t wait to move in the rest of the railroad structures up there. Then we will do some more professional style video stuff.
