Where I contribute my 2 cents I usually get a pre-publication copy of the finished article l…o…n…g before the stuff goes to press. I like that, wouldn’t be happy if it were à la Clambake.
Must be the difference in the “cultural attitude”.

That’s very simple; on LSC we believe in wide ranging discussions that cover more than just the obvious surface stuff. 
LSC is one of the few fora where that is still possible.
QC is a problem that warrants wide ranging discussion.
