Saw this on Facebook, can’t recall who posted it-sorry! . Looks like Bachmaan got the rights to the Eggliners. Have to scroll a ways. Wonder if more Aristo stuff will show up made by them or someone else?
I would hope they continue on the streamliner cars too.
Looks like they have the PCC trolleys, too -

The PCC trolleys in that brochure are HO scale…
Scot
Smart move. Someone had to wake up and pick up some of the legacy Aristo stuff. I wonder if Bachmann will license any of the Aristo line? That would be cool.
I know Scott was trying to bring back some of the old Aristo stuff. But now I have to wonder if he needs to step back out of the way, and let someone else do it.
But, as I said when Aristo first went away, there is too much money in them molds, dies and jigs to let them sit unused for too long.
He’s not in the way, Kader will sell to anyone who has money. Long history of this.
Greg
Greg, ok. Then we need to find a really rich person who would settle for a very low return on his investment.
Yeah, even starting out, breaking even would be a struggle.

Since Bachmann’s parent company in China owns all of the Aristo tooling, they can do anything they want with it.
That’s an interesting turn of events, Aristo was under contract made by Kader, Kader owned the tooling, Aristo folds, Kader still owns the tooling, Kader also owns Bachmann.Kader- Bachmann also owns Williams and KLine.
Seems I recall making a prediction a while ago that eventually all of Aristos Kader contracted items would end up at Bachmann.
So…what scale will Bachmann release that speeder under ??? Certainly not 1/20 if its the same molds…even 1/22 would be a stretch…so…1/29 ???
When Bachmann released the Peter DeWitt streetcar in 1:29, I wondered if that was Bachmann’s first step toward developing a 1:29 line, so they could bring back some of the Aristo product.
Well this is concerning since one of the fixes for the crappy Bachmann trolleys is to use the motor block from an Eggliner, will Bachmann leave the Eggliner design the same or cheapen it up to not work either?
Maybe the eggliner gondolas will be made. What to call them eggdolas???
They were “Egg Haulers” designed by Jon DeKeeles. He had some prototypes 3D printed, back when 3D printing was more expensive. So he contracted a company to 3D print them for him. Funny thing, years later I change jobs, again, and there in the display case, in my company’s home office, is one of them Egg Haulers, as an example of what they can 3D print.
I had asked one of the Bachmann guys at a train show if they were going to produce the Aristocraft line, his answer was no, only the street car. Time will tell what there plans are!
Hi Jerry, The Eggliners show on page 11 of the digital catalog along with Large Scale Speeders…
“Projected” Speeder release date… December 2016
“Projected” Eggliner release date… February 2017
As it was posted, time will tell… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I suspect that this and the speeder will use the block from the Peter Witt.
What I wonder is if this marks a switch from 1/20 towards 1/29 ? People have said for while that 1/29 was more popular than 1/20, maybe Kader is going to follow the market?

Vic,
If you own the moulds and they are 1/29th, then the question is easy to answer! My understanding is that Kader, the parent of Bachmann, also owns the Aristo moulds as the models were made under contract to Aristo. Presumably with the demise of Aristo, Kader can re-use them as they wish. Maybe some passenger cars next?
