Hi all,
Has anyone received one, yet?? My question (on behalf of a Swiss acquaintance): do all drivers have flanges or are some blind?
TIA!

I have a Bachmann K-27, mind you it did nt start off like that…
Rod, good one! Precisely the reason I worded things carefully!

When I’m out riding my bike I reckon 3/4ths of the drivers are both blind & deaf, not to mention stupid!
I know the feeling! OTOH I give the cyclists a wide berth when driving my car, half of them don’t obey traffic rules, naturally I belong to the other 50%!!
So how was the ride? Hot enough??
BTW you wouldn’t happen to have one of the new Bachmann K-27, would you???
OK, here’s the rub:
The K-27 information per owner responses is on MLS. Unfortunately, the threads apparently appeared there first – or MLS has a greater reader response to product analysis. OR?
Wendell
OR…nobody here has one…
Looking at the pictures in the Bachmann Gallery and every other picture I looked at so far (at 500% mag no less) shows flanges on all drivers and yet, someone in CH heard that the production models would have blind drivers on 3 and 4.
First one on LSC who gets one of the critters, please let me know. Thanks. As far as I’m concerned, no hurry!

Burned once, twice shy…
Don’t give a fig…

Ok, guilty… I bought one.
But…
While other west coast dealers appear to have received, and subsequently shipped theirs, mine is still awaiting their shipment from Bachmann, which, as you’ll recall, was reported to have left Philadelphia on the Friday before Christmas (not to be confused with LAST Friday, which has now come and gone as well.)
There was a pretty well attended thread on where these things had arrived on Brand X, but they seem to be having some issues of their own this week … so you’re left with the Bach-forum.
Incidentally, you may want to wait till you have one “in hand” before making a judgement on what it’s like… I’ve heard there are some differences from model to model. Two reported with RED led’s in the marker lamps, other reports and photos of amber ones. (which is interesting, as most class lamps are white…)
So, who knows?

I have an e-mail stating mine shipped 20DEC07.
Today is 02JAN08.
Tomorrow is 2 full weeks.
I would imagine Phil could ride his bike here from Philly in 2 weeks.

I am in the process of making 462 from an undec version.

PS the classification lights are indeed amber which is closer to red then white. I have a night time photo up on my WWW site where they appear to be red but actually they are amber. My 462 will have off white LEDs for the classification lights when I am through.
It’s probably just me, but does it seem strange that while there have been lots of pictures of the production locomotives posted, that there are absolutely no photos posted of the socket?

Thank you!
Stan,
When you see my name, do you automatically ignore my statements or questions?
Just curious here.
