Another useless post from Rooster

Glad to see BD endorsing the foolishness on this thread

The only difference is BD’s post is factual and not photo shopped.

Gotta make Rooster happy. Gonna try my hand making a set of these decals for a B unit.

From my last Amtrak trip, at Los Angeles Union Station

John, just how far back does the Amtrak paint scheme go? Asking for a friend of a friend…

Amtrak was started in 1971 when the government took over fro motivate railroads that were slowly stopping passenger rail service , due to driving and flying becoming more popular ways to travel

”Eun Dürr Gartenbahn”
In my defence, I was left unsupervised

The Baltimore and Ohio was never part of Amtrak. Merged into the Chessie System, now CSX. You need to look for Penn Central and before that, the Pennsylvania RR and New York Central. They were parts of Amtrak in my neck of the woods, not the B&O.

The reason I asked @Rooster about changing the livery on the LGB coach is it can track on tight curves so long as there is track side clearance. That coach was very inexpensive compared to anything labeled Amtrak. Dave’s protege’s dad might by annoyed, but the young man needs a start.

That F unit paint scheme is the original from 1971.

Cliff it was the Neo Rococo light at the top of the pic that sent it over the edge for me…The rest is old hat.

Bill,
Perhaps since your snooping around that museum “John” could really show you how far back Amtrak paint schemes could go? Only a thought since you guys seem to love AI so much.

Here is a model of ONE of her sister engines.

Ha Rooster! But would the Amtrak colours technically change the horse into a zebra?

Nope it’s Amtrak era so the horse would be rainbow colored and become a Unicorn I suppose.

Another useful SLOW-POST is now available from select local Post Offices around the world.

Except Canada.

Nice work there, Bill!

Cliff,

What’s with Canada?

I would assume this type of postcard would come VIA mail.
All puns intended

Mail workers in Canada are on strike
