I bet he's still waiting in line at the DMV.......
Remembering my youth in Massachusettes, when you went to the DMV, you needed to get there 2 days early and bring a few meals with you, because it was going to be an endurance test...

People were known not to have been sighted for weeks at a time…

Well, the Golding & Co. Freight Transfer Shed is now open for business. Looks like some stuff was dropped off yesterday for delivery to town.

Landscaping in the area has ceased until cooler weather and I get my pick-em-up truck returned. My son borrowed while his is in the shop.

What I have found while switching yesterday is that the transfer lead will only handle one car plus a loco to move any cars to the warehouse lead. And if the transfer lead is occupied, it needs to become un-occupied to use it. So if 2 cars have to be switched to the warehouse, 2 moves are required. I may leave it that way just to make you think first…

Ken, the transfer shed came out great… Looks real nice…

LOOKS AWESOME KEN! Are there fresh chickens in that crate? For the buggy of course. I think you need to build Clarke’s Diner since he always has food on his mind!

Ken,

Jan will like that. Sounds like a switching concern. Express freight will just be loaded while the train is in the station. LCL = less than carload.

Yup, the back track right behind the station will be the LCL track. And handle any overflow.

Dave, no chickens yet. Buggy hasn’t been seen since March in this area.

Hey, nothing wrong with a great ""haystack"", first thing in the morning.... Gives you that fuel, to git up and go, or just take a long nap....... :)

That is looking great Ken. I like the transfer shed. Fits in real nice.

What’s a “Haystack”?

Haystack = get a clean platter, and place a bisquit or two on it, then stack sausage/hamburger patty, two eggs, cheese, hash browns, and smother the whole thing in sausage gravy.....

Andy, that breakfast you describe sounds likr a “chloresterrol specia!”

Doug, it probably is, but it tastes so wonderful…

My dad always said he’d rather risk dying fat and happy eating whatever he wanted than thin and deprived. He got his wish at 89+

I’m thinking I probably won’t be so lucky.
