Another expansion thread?

When will it be done?

Yup - I think it looks good. Especially with the functioning sluice.

Yes!

If you decide you dont like it, send it up my way, I know it will look good on the KMRR.

That is really going to look good. I think it needs a roof, but that’s just me.

Roofs are really over-rated, yanno… as stated before, you just can’t see the roof, because it’s all clear acrylic plastic…

Yea, I’m partial to skylights…since I had to keep moving it and making adjustments installing the roof could wait till I was happy with the arrangement. That building is heavy enough without the roof.

Shawn, I’m not sure there’s much more you can add to yours to improve it, but you still manage to surprise me…

:D

It just so happens I wasn’t happy with the arrangement. The more I looked at it, the more contrived and complicated it appeared. After a few days of trying this and rearranging that, I’m liking this a lot more. It’s closer to the track, but there’s enough room between them for a loading dock.

Quite a bit more work to be done on it, but I’m happier with the look of this location more so than the other.

  1. I really like the clear acrylic roof. Will you be finishing the inside of the mill?

  2. Is the track the mainline, or part of a siding?

  3. What did you use to make the bridge water resistant?

  1. Nope…It has a roof, it’s just easier to work with without it on…
  2. Mainline…
In the first 2 pix, there will be a passing siding and log dump siding next to the pond…
  3. PT wood and stain…The Howe Truss bridge I built years ago from Garden Texture plans…been around a while…

If I tell you I like it, you'll just go move it again :D

From the pictures, I like the first location better. But pictures can fool ya and you have the best perspective.
Ralph

Put the mill on hold for a bit and decided to get started on the siding for the saw mill. I made the curve in the switch a little wider, so I had to take up the track back to the switch in front of Chandlers to broaden the whole curve.

Tomorrow I’ll work on the 3 way at this end and try to tie them together.

Lookin’ good Ken

Ken… It’s gonna look good, when it’s done…

I’m afraid to say the start looks good, cause he might decide to not finish it…
