Another deleted posting

by my favorite moderator. Of course, he doesn’t even have the balls or courtesy to bother telling me why anymore.
I guess its okay for a certain juvenile individual to continually rant on about a particular manufacturer but its not okay to suggest he act like an adult.

Brian. The is no one more childlike than the person to whom you refer.

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, Brian. I had one deleted, too. I didn’t know that we had moderators, here.

There are no moderators here other than the Owner, Bob, to the best of my knowledge. If you’ve PO’d Bob off enough to have him delete your post then you had it coming. There is NO other place as free as LSC so if you push the limits here you’re way out of line.

If you are referring to another forum please make that clear.

Andre`

If what I posted Pissed of Bob, he must have very thin skin.

Since LSC's inception over seven years ago, I've considered chat and the forums as a "virtual living room" or, more accurately, a "Publick House", with me being the bartender, with an absentee owner. Imagine you've come in, sat down at the bar, and started talking about trains. People may or may not join your conversation, as they see fit. If you start being obnoxious, some people may join, but you'll get lots of stares from other people in the pub. I may even ask you to keep it down, but I won't kick you out. I won't erase anyone's memories about a conversation (delete posts). That's not how I operate.
All I did was post a link to a parody of a song by the Beach Boys.

So, what happened?

I have no clue what happened. Looking through the logs for the day you emailed me about the post shows a few empty post IDs, but thats normal, people re-think what they post all the time. The only posts I delete is obvious spam from signup-and-run members.

Edit: And Brian, I assume you’re talking about some other forum, not here?

I accept that.

That was my assumption. Some of us know full well how this excuse for a moderator performs. Apart from sending abusive offensive emails, my lasting impression is words, he uttered once, to quell down a ‘discussion’ on a particular on again/off again manufacturer -

“If I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher, then I would have had kids.” Says it all!

They must be desperate for membership, as several years later, I still get regular emails offering to restore my membership, plus detailing any recent changes on the site. Do not get me started on his mate ‘idler’.

Arn’t electronics fun!! I may just go and work on the RR. Don’t have any work anyway thanks to the recession so I now have more time for trains and repair and upkeep on the RR. Got a major one, replace a 4x4 supporting the elevated section. Did some ROW work to protect the track. Pictures later.

Paul

Yes, I was have a minor rant about that other site.
Never had any issues here!
I did see the juvenile did some serious editing of his original post.

Sheesh Brian,

I don’t mind being the admin/owner of a forum, but I’d sure hate being a moderator. Hell, the very implication of the word and its root would cramp my style in a big way.
Moderate? Tsk, tsk, tsk … now that would be a challenge.

Hey! Waddaya know? I just go an email from you know who. I guess he reads other forums too.

What do you guys think? Should I read it or just delete it?

Delete AND block his mail.

Brian. Just feel sorry for him.

Brian,
I agree with Tony, ignore it! As my mum used to say, “There but for the grace of God, go I.”

" Of course, he doesn’t even have the balls or courtesy to bother telling me why anymore."

Brian,
Now that he has given you the courtesy of a response, you should give him the courtesy of reading it.

Geez, Ralph. Are you saying I should act like an adult?

You have to read it and then let us know. Of course I love to hear what people say or their excuses.

Sigh…I’m soooo lost and just want a pony?
