Large Scale Central

Anaheim CA train show Jan 10,11, who's goin or showin'?

It ain’t the Big Train Show, or the BIG Train Show, but it’s all we’ve got for now. So who’s up for hangin’ out or just sayin’ “Hey?” I got a One Dollar Off coupon in the mail.

Vic, I assume the Pizza Layout will be there. I emailed Baxter, but never heard back if Door Hollow Short Line will be there.

I’ll be there with the Z scale group, we will have a large layout.

Greg

I am debating.

Anyone have a website link for the show?

Who are you debating John?

Greg, whether its worth going or not.

Here you go Joe: http://www.giantshow.com/anaheim.html

I know, was just pulling your leg a little!

Regards, Greg

I sent in my paperwork and got my tentative placeholder, usually get the final mailer after new years, but I am planning to be there, setting up Friday am.

If things go well I am going to try to bring one or two of my battery powered micro layouts on Saturday along with extra trains for the pizza as I’ll have an empty car that day.

I checked the website and looks like I am in the same spot as last year

Z scale, Greg? If Vic’s is a pizza-size layout, what’s yours, Doritos?

Or maybe donuts.

-Kevin.

I will be going. Have not decided which day I will go.

Greg I’m bringing something Saturday that makes that circle look big

You have one of those 1:900 trains?

You they have the 1:400 stuff working pretty reliably, the locos are the width of a pencil.

Greg

Greg and Vic-

For those of us attending and would like to meet the personalities behind these helpful, insightful, and entertaining LSC postings, please give us your locations (again) at the show for Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks,
Wendell

Zo_Cal layout, the only Z scale modular layout there, won’t be able to miss it (or me, I’m 6’ 2")

Greg

Vic is the guy with the little layout by the front door. Vic, should we plan to gather again? I don’t want to piss off the crabby old people at the clinic again.

Re: My post elsewhere about old MR magazines and what to do with 'em. I’ll bring them to Anaheim on Saturday, but ya gotta take them off my hands (or out of my trunk) or they go to recycling.

Not this time, that was at the BTS. I’m way off to the far right side of the public entry at Anahiem. I’m in the same place as last year. No clinics behind me. If people want to meet it should be OK

I’m surprised that so many people don’t know about the local shows. This show is bigger and better than the BTS since the BTS moved from the Queen Mary. The Del Oro Pacific will have their layout at one end of the floor and The Door Hollow Shortline Layout will be at the other end of the floor along with Vic’s creations. There are a number of dealers selling large scale trains. They are the same vendors that have been to the BTS for many years. There are bargains galore all over the place.

The Great Train Expo show operators will also host a show in Del Mar (San Diego Fairgrounds) the second week in February.

These are the best shows around. All scales are represented. This show has 18 different layouts on the floor.
