Getting there slowly.
NICE! Details, we demand details! Are the walls repaints from a Piko kit?
…grinning…
The building was a junk find by my brother and yes it was a PIKO Brewery that I completely took apart, cut and glued back together in a single story building configuration. Roof skylights are scratch built. I found a citrus packing plant picture and kind of used it as a sample but changed the colors. Just finished the basic rail side dock today. Will post as I go along until finished. It is huge. sits on 3X4 plexiglas base. Had to use 1/4" thick to almost eliminate all flex.
Working on the rail dock side now got some ore work here.http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/jtmsmike/_forumfiles/Rail Dock s.jpg
Today’s progress.

Great looking building. Very inspirational for the piles of Piko parts I have laying around…
Nice shop
Thanks Bob. We are looking for more junk brewery parts still. The only thing I do to the PIKO stuff is re-scale the doors to 1/2" scale. Andre the Giant doesn’t roam my brother’s garden railroad, I least I don’t think so. When I am all done, I am going to re-post the whole build as best I can. Believe it or not, good old Testors Model Glue does work on the PIKO/POLA plastic.

Very nicely done.
nice kit-bash Mike.
Very sharp.
Great choice on the “lemon yellow” trim.

I’ve been noodling over how to do Goodson’s Batteries, and this has given me the idea to use the Piko walls that I have and do something similar. I like the white walls, a huge difference from the dirty red that they come in.
Hmm…
Painting them takes the European taste right out of them. My brother and I are trying to stay modern american theme going. The piko brick sections were a great thing to start with.
Nice job Mike
If you are using their brewery walls and need any hints let me know. I did so many adhesive tests it is unbelievable. I found that a good cleaning, light sanding and Testor’s Model Glue worked the best. Also Acrylic Cement I had to buy on the Internet. That PIKO plastic is tough stuff.
Okay I think I am going to start on the reefers soon.
