Looking like most of Delores is ready for scenery. Nice work and updates. Will the structures be attached to the deck or free floating ? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Probably have them sitting on something that can be tied down to the deck, just to keep them level and so they don’t blow away. They sell that PVC in square shapes, might try that stuff…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Too nice a day to work, so I decided to play. Took the K out for spin…

Those last two shots are awesome Ken! I have Richard’s POC RR build log printed off and am watching yours now. This will be the way I build Version II of my layout on our new property. Thanks.

I love it when a plan comes together.

{puzzled look) Don’t we all???

Ken, the progress is looking great…

Mikey likes this one…

And I do too! Great progress.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

That’s also one of the advantages of a raised layout. I can get some good pictures without standing on my head…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Probably why most of my recent pictures are at WALL where the roadbed is at about 4 feet above the back yard. And it doesn’t hurt to have vacant land in the background. I’m always fighting to find angles where my own or neighbors house isn’t in the shot.

Is it done, yet? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

C.I.P #47:

Haven’t gotten a whole lot done on this thing due to other things that needed doing. But I did spend a couple hours out there this morning. Every time I looked at the switch lead to the coaling tower, it looked “off” for some reason. Then I noticed a switch I had laying around that looked like it might fit on one of the leads to the turntable. Laid it down on top of the 3rd track over and it was an exact match. That’s when the brainstorm hit.

Why not straighten out that coaling tower lead and extend it up to the turntable? Plenty of room there.

Not only does that give me a bit more siding in the yard, but it also improves the aesthetics of the yard, at least in my mind’s eye.

New arrangement:

Much happier with that!

You better put your margarine back in the fridge it will spoil out in the heat like that.

Awesome!

I like your framework and covering. Great job. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Yes, I like that too. Now when a locomotive gets turned on the turntable, it can through the coaling tower area for a quick service. Adding a water spout there would also help with the quick service.

My thoughts exactly David, shouldn’t you be out digging right now?

Yup, looks much better like that Ken. Glad you’re getting to enjoy it some now.

Looks much better, ken…

Randy all the digging in the front yard is done, and I can now flush with confidence. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Today I am doing bridge and trestle repairs, and working out how to lift the trestle to its proper elevation.

Well, duh. Thanks Dave, that solves my dilemma over where to put the water tank…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
