FYI…The prototype does not have a rooster weather vane. Just a standard finial !
I believe the owner plans on installing one…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Finial - a standard vertical rooster perch or better known as a rotisserie skewer.
Ken, for the curved roof, how about some 3 or 4 inch pvc pipe. Run it through the table saw length wise to get the right wedge that your need. I ran some 3/4" cpvc thrugh mine like that last night and it worked great.

That thought has also crossed my mind, Randy. Cutting them about a 1/2" wide to form the curvature, with a thin sheet of styrene as a base for the roof. I have a piece of 4" PVC around here…somewheres…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
But I’m nowhere near ready for that yet.

I think it needs to be approved by “HARB Review Board” with all the necessary permits before installation! “If it is approved” will you be adding a grounding cable to the earth in case of lighting strikes? ( I NOW have connections upstairs ya’ know)

Good to see some of those Bick’s Burgers signs going to good use. The reason I had so many to give away was he ordered 100 signs then never picked up or paid for them, so the boss tossed them out and I caught them (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)But Karma has a way of catching up; Ian Bick was just sentenced to 2 years hard time after screwing up his probation on investment fraud charges. He was only 17 when he started his scams. He’s 21 now, so going to big boy jail (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)
The station is looking really good Ken. Now that it’s started snowing up here I need to get back into the basement and finish some old projects.

This information will be factored into the HARB review for the necessary permits of the weather vane installation!

Permits? We don’t need no steenking permits! I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for them…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

HARB??? Have A Rooster Break?
What means HARB? Seriously, because I have a set of boxcars that were made for HARB. They were made for RLD, Kansas City Southern.
HARB - Historical and Architectural Review Board…ie, a bunch of people who tell you that you can’t do that to your old building because it is hysterical, …err Historical.

Yea, and then there is the homeowner associations, in some locations, who also perform the same function. I figure that if I paid for the thing, I can do with it what I please. When they start paying the mortgage and taxes on my building, then, and only then, do they have any authority to tell me what I can do with MY building.
Sorry, I just realized it was H.A.G.R.S.
What is, please?

Heart of America Garden Railroad Show.
I cant find a webpage for it, but I think its associated with: http://wagrsclub.blogspot.com/
Scot
I have seen HAGRS floating around the Large Scale forums for years…
but I never knew it was a train show! I always thought it was a club: (something)(something) Garden Railroad Society.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sidetrack the topic.
The boxcars are from the 2007 HAGRS Show. Yes, Heart Of America Garden Railway Show which was in Kansas City. I suppose like every other good thing it folded.
H.A.G.R.S. died out for reasons not directly related to the status of G-Scale or Garden Railroading. Which is sad, was nice to go to.
Hate to change the subject, but I was giving Randy’s suggestion on the roof some thought.
I had a piece of 4" PVC pipe and cut a few slices off about 1" wide. I also had some clear plastic that was rolled up from years ago that I got from the phone company.
A little trial and error, but I think this will work for the roof curvature.
We shall see…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
