As some of you know, there’s a group of us working with Phil Dippel to produce some 1:20 passenger cars. These are big. I needed a bigger looking locomotive to pull this train, so I bought an Annie on E-bay and tore it apart. I bought a 3" tube from Plastruct, a Connie kit and Ruby pilot from Vance Bass, and used some Trackside Details to finish it off. My lucky find was getting some Accucraft K-27 domes. They are quite heavy, but a perfect fit. Here’s an early shot comparing the two.
I’ve also upsized the tender, but it’s not quite as obvious.
Some primer paint makes it look a bit better.
And here’s the whole thing ready for a coat of paint.
I’ve delayed a bit while I built an engineer to drive this. But now he’s finished, so it’s just wiring it up.
Naturally it’s battery powered, with RCS and Sierra sound.
