The windows looked a bit too plain, so I decided to add some window shades. Also glued on 2 of the roof panels - you can see some weights in place until the glue dries.
They are looking good Bruce
Nice. The shades and curtains definitely help.
Hehe. Actually, there are no curtains in the back - though I can see it looks that way. I did do curtains in the front windows; I’ll have to get some pictures.
I think the acrylic does such a good job of reflecting stuff that you don’t need a lot of details - at least that’s my story.
Bruce, it’s coming along real nice…
I finally got some time to finish this one up and get it in place.
I have a tradition of naming buildings after folks that I have operated with.
On the right, we have Ames Mercantile. We have started running on Stan’s layout on Sunday of TrainOps. It’s a huge layout and a lot of fun.

In the center, Norton’s Repairs.
Paul Norton is one of the regulars at the American Invasion in Canada and is also known for his battery conversions and overall willingness to assist anybody!

On the left, we have the Veterinarian, run by Gord Bellamy. Gord has been responsible for helping to make sure that all operations run correctly all year in Ottawa, not just for the American Invasion. Traditionally, we all donate to his animal cause, so I thought a vet would be appropriate.

A view of the block.

And from behind…

The old buildings got moved over to the next street.

I was hoping my people would show up a bit better. I had some decals made by Stan that I applied to white styrene and glued in place. You can just barely see Deb Ames in the upstairs far right window.
Magnificant, Bruce…
Ditto to that…
Nice work, Bruce!
Bruce great job
Very nicely done, Bruce… The effect is great… They look wonderful…
nearly perfect!
the only missing your town needs is some action. maybe a visit by Mr Barrow and Miss Parker?
This thread is a) brilliant work and
b) has given me inspiration to play with some new techniques (note correct spelling )
Fantastic work Bruce and up to your usual standards. There are many ideas here and I will do my best to use as many as I can.
Doc Watson
Thanks, guys. I really enjoy looking at this one; a fun project.
Phil, I think you’ve inspired me in return - I will have to add a drugstore to my project list.
Looks great, nice work !
Nice!
What a great looking block. Very well done!
Nice placement. Really looking good in downtown. Won’t be long before the city Fathers are looking to ‘acquire’ more land for expansion.
That blocked turned out great!
I know what your next building should be – a carwash!
