Praying for you buddy. The wood provides a nice contrast to the stone.

A fluid design …
Well I tried etching the Chimney pipe for age and the darn thing refused to rot… I guess it can go back to being a HF solar light stand… I’ve had a couple of formed tubes, kind of like stay bolts with flared ends bouncing around on the layout. I drug out the old Rotozip, the poorman’s right angled grinder and cut them in half. Putting them together, the flared ends over lap and look purpose formed! Mik would approve I’m sure. I have them taped together for gluing together, prior to going in the chimney.
I also raided my O scale detail parts for stuff … the Baker passenger car heater is now a bench furnace and we now have 3 boxes of Prospector’s Charges w/ portable detonators. Looks like 1/3 sticks and other stuff that didn’t happen … until pics can back me up.

Well I am glad you are becuase it is a wonderful project that needs to see the end of the road. I was so inspired that while at Lowes they had some sheets of cut stone tile on clearance so I snatched up a few for some yet distant project.

And so it begins …
Chiminey Cricket!
So as is my nature, the pipe didn’t pan out, but 4 rolled pipes did! About 10.5" the ends are formed and two seemed to nestle as if designed for that. I cut them in half and yesterday was spent epoxying them together and then into the fine Taylor brickwork …

The years have been tough on the old water pipe, chimney extensions…
Not fancy brick, maybe Mr. Englishman, but nifty!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif) Fer sure.
Thats cool and way more unique than a single pipe. I like this misfortune.
Now that is neat looking
Since the Chiminey became an eye catcher and from the beginning I’ve known the furnace’s pipe was too big. I cut a half inch off with a tubing cutter because it rolls the end in as it pinches the rolling wheel in… Wasn’t enough, so I used my Chasing hammer to fold the end over, inwards to make a reduction fitting. I sleeved the new pipe with a short section to complete the illusion. I soldered it together with plumber’s silver solder and a Mapp gas torch. As it cooled I went out back to my old paint collection. after some blue tape I hit the exhaust with grey and red primers;

I like the proportions better, I may cap the top with a fold over rain stopper. If not then Blacken-it will paint the flu’s innards.
You do nice work, mister jeweler! A unique use of the required chimney. Well done…
Hey John. Sorry I’m so late to this party. I was in kind of a funk during the challenge and pretty much stayed away from all of it. Sorry for not adding some encouragement along the way, but it appears you did not need it. What an awesome building!!!
And, sorry to hear of your setbacks. Best of luck with the treatments.
