Assay office…

Image result for assay office"

I picked up a sheet of split face rock tiles, should have gotten 2 for the exterior…

Old man Vail sent his nephew to assayer’s school, no high grading pockets full here!

As a bonus, Luigi brought his recipe for Pizza!

There was an oops moment when I realized I forgot the Chiminey!

That’s going to be huge. It takes two napkins

Well of course the Chimney deserved to be showcased on it’s, mostly, own towel. nudge nudge(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I was at the Despot and purchased another sheet of Splitface stone tiles and a tube of Bone grout.

12.98 and 6.99= $20

It started earlier this year. I knew I wouldn’t need 5 staple guns, but the known 4 couldn’t be found, bought one and now 6 more have come out of hiding. They taught my caulking guns that trick.

Caulking gun … $3.00

Flashing base … 50 cents

Shopping 2 hours.

Construction zip.

Whoopie!

Since there are so many ringers quality builds this year a simple exterior would be a dog paddle against the tide…

I’ve been busy, well the cat and me took our meds and pondered

The whole charm of our en devour is that pizza oven and various large jars, scales and tools.

DeluxFloorplan

On the left: in back Luigi’s Pizza oven and closer the elevated iron oven. Along the back walls bottles, flasks and bins.

The customer area will be open with folded wooden doors ready to shut out the elements when they blow.

There will be chicken wire windows in the inner wall and a through the wall mineral passage

Nap time!

Chicken wire! Elevated iron oven! Wowsers! Looking forward to see how you create some of these things out of common household items…

Common?

Rooster has reported Devon Sinsley to the moderator for saying: HUGE

John if you get your pizza oven built before Dan that will surely be a sore spot with him.

Did I get lost? is this an assay office or a pizza joint? or both? swing in get your gld weighed and grab a slice. I think you would have been ahead of your time.

NO PIZZA FOR YOU, Tinfoil Hat Man (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)Anyway, John has the luxury of a deadline, I don’t (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Oh boy I’m wrapping myself in luxury!

Devon; Luigi got the job because he can cook in a kiln, the crucible ovens are a treat to him.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Dumb luck has blessed me. This summer I became aware of a broken vent cover because yellow jackets got in the house … Anyway I bought a vent cover when I was shopping for my junk box. It has perfect ‘chicken wire’ on it. eighth inch squares of 28ga (0.012") wire. Chicken wire may have been a misnomer, I saw 3-4" squares in pictures… strong enough to keep a bad hombre out.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Update: These little tiles suck, if they need to have their bottoms exposed. (Rooster I will report myself for saying; exposed) (twice!!)

I put a fresh 220 on the wet sander and have nearly cleaned half of the tiles. I still have to break the other half free from the backing sheet. The blocks get mortared into a free standing wall.

Are we having fun yet?

No pics of labor …

Of course the mental debate of roof or not still is rampant … depends on the details, if they get made.

Thanks for the update, John.

Is it done yet (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

I had a 7am PT scan this morning and another Dr.s apt tomorrow, then I’ll be back in the game …

praying for the best bud. Just had yet another CT scan on my head Friday.

Well Dang, there’s been a hiccup on my cure. Seems the last spot to fade hasn’t and has a tail. We don’t know if it is new life or a reaction to immuno therapy or a round of antibiotics I’m on. Yesterday’s infusion has been postponed to next week.

About the time I think I can focus on grinding my tiles clean, some body asks how I’m doing …

Part of the Practice of Medicine is trying something and seeing how the patient reacts, it is very helpful; if the patient is patient.

So that’s where I am.

I’m feeling very positive. I bet it is a nothing-burger. Let’s go with that for now.

Thanks doc!
