I’m in, building and old fashion Florida cracker house AKA shotgun house, using styrene, pvc sheet, and old playmobil western building walls.

Never having taken a step south of the Mason-Dixon Line, I had no idea what a cracker or shotgun house is…it sounds salacious!!
So I looked it up. Here, for the benefit of us Westerners and others who’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing the South, I found this on the internet:
“In its simplest form, a cracker house is a wooden shelter built by the early Florida and Georgia settlers. Lured to Florida by cheap and plentiful land, settlers arrived with few provisions and needed to erect shelter quickly and cheaply… often people say these are called shotgun houses because a bullet fired through the front door would go right out the back door without hitting a wall.”
Sounds like you’ve got some good material to work with here.

John, you need to take some time and visit God’s country. It’s not what you read about and see on TV. We do have indoor plumbing … well… most of us do anyway.
Oh I lived just down the road from you for 5 years… Skeeters, red bugs, water moccasins, chiggers, gatters, ticks, red clay, raccoons, possums, and the ever oppressive summer humidity. But the best corn bread, boiled peanuts, fried catfish, cooked field corn on the cob, grits, pecan pies… and the gorgeous souther girls. OH yah… deer season ( one a day, one in possession) And EVERYTHING IS GREEN… ALL Green, all the time, everything, including a lot of power lines and poles, fences too.
Yep, Dave has spent some time down here. He hit all the highlights and drawbacks in 4 sentences and spelled possum correctly. Have a good buddy that lives west of Decatur. We have spent some time visiting there but only in the fall, after the heat and before the hurricanes(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Rick, I’ve spent some time in Corvalis and I will say that area may be one of the most beautiful places on earth and the Oregon coast is something to behold… I attended my first wine tasting at Airlie Winery in Monmouth (wow, that’s been a long time ago). Great wine. Matter of fact, I had a glass of their Muller Thurgau (1997) with my prime rib at dinner tonight.
Quick question… when loading pics to freight sheds… what size do you use to get more pics in the file. I have only been able to get 10-15 pics in my folder… Can they be smaller in size and take up less room?..Thanks guys… Looking forward to this year…
Travis, I generally resize all my photos to 800x600 pixels and they are around 100k in size. I simply use MS Paint to resize. I hope this helps.
Dave, I have decided to concentrate on my layout so I will not be participating this year, I want to get it to a presentable stage, not just tracks on dirt

Pete, I’ve ordered the switches from Bruce over at Switchcrafters. Got an email from him yesterday that they would ship this week so that excuse will be out of the way. I’ve settled on a track plan for the first phase. The layout will be elevated on bench work similar to what Ken has done. I’ll post some more details later today, maybe, over on the layout thread I started … wow how time flies … its been 3 years … 3 years ago. It can be found here: WSRR Layout Thread

Same here, I use an editing program that resizes them to 800x450 from my phone camera images which are much much larger.
Taylor freight delivered a nice chimney today. Its going to look good over at Leroy’s.
