Large Scale Central

2017 ECLSTS

Good to see you are awake, and your memory is working well, Cliff…for a moment or three I thought we had lost you, as you seemed to be way too quiet lately…!!

Fred Mills

Thanks Fred, yes, still vertical (when I need to be)! Just swamped with various irons in the fire. But I’ve sure cleared the deck for Thursday-Saturday next week! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

Wish you were there, but maybe next year it’ll work out better for you.

Have a great time everybody, try to grab a few cell phone pics if you remember for those of us that cannot attend. Mike

Well I am all ready to go and Topaz has her little kitty bags packed for the journey (not sure why a cat needs luggage). We are up with the sun Monday morning for the trip East. Three days bouncing down the highway in a jeep wrangler with a cat possessed by Satan, this better be worth it Rooster.

See you all at the drag and brag!

I got one of the Show cars at the Greenburg Show today. Will post picture tomorrow.

Wow! I am really looking forward to meeting Boomer.

Ditto. I’ve just assumed he was a figment of my imagination

Everyone have a great time. This will be the first one I’ve missed in a very long time; 10 years maybe? I started going when the Drag & Brag was preceded by the Rodent Party and hosted by Fred Mills. I will see some of you at Ken’s in late April. Enjoy!

Being as Boomer is coming, I will make sure I pack the dry erase board so I can do more mug shots this year of people I missed. They will end up in the Album “2017 ECLSTS”.

Here is one of the tributes to the late Harry Hartman:

PLEASE, PLEASE…do take pictures all over the place at the show. Some of us wish we could be there, but can’t be…

We depend on our friends on this web page to PLEASE, help us out with pictures.

Thank you all in advance…

Fred - I am not sure if you are into electronics, animation, gizmos and gadgets for railroads but I will doing my normal, annual seminar at 10:00 on Friday and I plan on posting a video of that presentation on YouTube - stay tuned!

For you, Fr. Fred, anything!

Just passing this along!

PS, bummer, I was looking forward to talking to that walk-in bathtub company, but I don’t see 'em listed. Nor the basement waterproofing contractor. Tell ya, the hobby is going to the dogs… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

[edited out my reference to American Lawn Lights, sheesh I forgot that they (Steve Wright) are the maker of those very cool lighthouse replicas! I was confusing the name with a path lighting company, and thus in the group of home improvement vendors that utilized unused spaces at the show last year. Sorry Steve!!]

Jon you can hitch a ride with me and go down friday. Im only going for the day as long as the weather is good.

Thanks Shawn - I’ve done the travel & show one day before, not fun for me.

Like John hoping to make Kens run in April but looks like I won’t make the show this year myself.

What!?

I’ll believe it when I don’t see Rooster there!

Seans list is NOT correct which is the list posted on the ECLSTS.com site. If you need to visit a vendor, check with them to make sure they are coming.

A couple of list additions. Warrior Run usually arrives but is hardly ever listed as a ‘vendor’, because Clem sets up in the layout room! And I believe Bob Clark (Stoke’m & Smoke’m) will be next to Iron Horse Engraving with the WuHu live steamers. Check out his latest, the ‘Russian Decapod’.

FYI - Iron Horse Engraving has some neat scale builders plates in Rowmark Plastic (engineered laminated plastic for laser engraving). I assume they will bring some to the show, plus their new 1/32nd coaches. They also do full size plates in wood - just the thing for your wall.
