You better find your passport, Ken, or the whole party is off…!!!

.....Never heard from Bob......
Ahhhh, Ric…sounds like he is a busy man; busy building those signals for the IPP&W…I expect, so we can’t be too hard on him !!!
Ouch !

WTFO?
Good question, Steve, me boy…!!!
Was just reacting to that little barb hurled Bob’s way. He finished them, I saw the pictures :o Just never made it to Canada with them.
We are within the week and preparing the packing list. The excitement is building and the weather is turning hot around here. Time to head north.
I’m within a day and have much packing preparing to do yet. Lost last evening playing games with the boat. Had a new cover made and was taking it home last night. Got 2 miles from the shop and the wind tore it, so back it went. Killed my whole evening. Now I have to go get it again today. Fortunately the boss will let me take extra time at lunch to get it done.
Forget working on the RR. Haven’t even been able to take pictures of the completed Walk Landing Trans-Load Center.
The 14 day weather forcast is for near perfect weather with moderate temperatures. Just the temperatures you guys, from the midwest will appreciate.
All seems to be in order. Terry Foley is arriving from England on Air Canda, on Wednesday. The majority of Invaders from the South get here on Thursday afternoon.
Safe travelling everyone…
That sounds great, Fred. Keep the rain away.
I’m just putting the finishing touches on my 10 wheeler rebuild, so I think it will make it.
I’ve got the beer ready to go.

Okay Fred? Is there a secret message here? Terry (where’s the A?) Foley is arriving on Air Canda (Where’s the A?)
I know there is a secret message, but I guess I’m going to have to get a new decoder ring. Man I hate cereal. It’s just cold gruel. But I’m definetly going to need a new decoder ring for this trip. First he tells Jan it is going to be 20 degrees and she’s freaking out and now TAC and Canda don’t have A’s. This could be a rough trip. I better pack extra Rum.
…all this panic, just because I call “TAC”, Terry. Then I go and let my “Union Finger” do the typing on the afternoon shift; and for some “Grieving reason” it leaves off an “A” in the name “Canada”…Yes; bring on the Rumski’s…right now I’m on the 15 year old Highland Park…!!!
…and to set the record straight; I told Jan that the long range forcast for next week, showed temperatures in the 20’s…“C”…I even asked her if she realized I meant “Celcius”, and she said YES.
Oh…Ok…I’ll take the blame…I’ll pour another dram or three…!!!
Arrived Ottawa 18:00 today. Got the camper set up and went out to dinner. Will sleep in tomorrow and show up at Doug’s early afternoon.
I should be leaving here in about 2 hours. ETA at Dougs approxinately 2:30 - 3:00. ( course that depends on what adventure I run into at the border… )
07/18/09 - 0700 Saturday Morning - We arrived at Doug’s about 4pm Thursday. Many people were already there. The Matheson railroad empire continues to grow as the railroad through the Chinese Garden is really starting to take shape. Sorry, I’ll post pictures after we are home. Partied through a wonderful dinner served at Doug and Barb’s. Got to our hotel for some much needed sleep and up for the first day of operations at the IPP&WRR on Friday. This was a standard guage operations and we had two sessions. Trains ran all morning and afternoon. Didn’t even think of taking pictures. Too much fun. There were lots of cameras around so I’m sure you will see the action. Today is Narrow Gauge OPs and starts in about 2 hours. We have rain in the forecast so we’ll see what becomes. I’ll try to do better with the pictures. I swear the party starts here about the middle of May and runs through the Canadian Thanksgiving. I think we are just the mid-summer entertainment. I feel so used.
Ric and Jan, Bruce and Jean along with Ken; were the last to depart Ottawa, this morning.
We wish them a safe trip home. Everyone seems to want to do it again next year…I haven’t a clue why !!!
Pictures are coming soon.
