Not done yet??? It looks perfect!
It still needs a Bluestone Southern road number…
Actually it should be titled a 1600 series car as this project has become a “What If”
Looks good Rooster.
David,
That’s nice, Nicky wants some…
Okay what is the price for this one? haha
Looks spot on. Nice job.
apart from being much too modern for my taste, it looks nice and complete.
so what is needed to be done yet? the interior features?
Thanks guys!
Nick,John…I might make a batch up to sell this winter
Korm…cabling, numbering and a few little details and actually YES interior as well
Yea…ha. That’s the one!! Nice job on the door. You got building plans for the car or is that factory??
I don’t do plans …sorry
Ok, I’ll take what you show. Thanks for posting. I wanted the Aristo Amtrak roadrailers that just sold on the bay. Yikes, they command some bread. I would have jumped but I bought track instead. Boring. Aristo spoiled us with their old prices.
I’ll probably use the USA for mine, or I may just spray an Aristo Evans silver and fake it!!

They are 50’ or 60’ old express cars built by Trinity and 2 others (can’t think of the builders) …not the same as the Thrall cars still on express trucks though …
Fear Amtrak Joe… if you have a fetish to try and model it in this scale like me…It can give you sleepless nights!
Steam might be easier at times !

I kind of wish I hadn’t started passenger trains. They’re taking me into a whole other direction. Besides that, I made the mistake of buying both 1/29 and 1/32 scale and they don’t mix well in these trains. So now I’m forced to build 2 Amtrak trains or sell off one.
At least with freight, I can throw whatever I’ve got behind some engines and they look good mixed in. Now I’ve got to study better to identify Amtrak era’s and what I need to build!
Joe
Not sure what you have but why not build two separate trains as you stated. I did(or am doing) the same myself. Mixing the 1:32 and 1:29 in passenger rolling stock doesn’t work well. However no one will really notice the difference in scales with two different consists…IMO cause I have done it.
BTW don’t know if you have these links but if your interested in Amtrash (as it’s dubbed) these are some good 1:1 picture reference sites.

Wow! A lot of great stuff there! Thanks!
Joe…there are few here on LSC that are Amtrakoholics but won’t admit it …the key and first step in recovery is to come right out out and admit it …the second step is too do something about it!
Matt Doti is an awesome counselor with folk that have an addiction to it like me !

An example of this would be LGB most of there equipment is around 1:22.5, maybe 1:24. However there Amtrak equipment is more like 1:29
