Large Scale Central

Bluestone Southern Indoor Upper level layout

The majority of my construction projects have mostly been getting the Outside layout working. Any work on the inside was basically done to make the freight yard for the outside operations…

Since the weather has turned cold, efforts have been spent on working out the track plan for the upper level inside portion of my layout…

I had previously created my industrial switching portion of the layout and it is against the further most north wall…

For the past few days, I have been working on the Mainline and Yard/Industrial lead tracks…

Below is a shot with the switch connecting the Mainline and the lead at the bottom of the picture.

I’d love to see what you are working on Andy but your pic has gone missing (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

Yeah, Can’t get them to post.

They here in your Freight Shed?

I think I found them. These here?

Nope. These I bet…

Yeah, Jon… was the second one I wanted, along with 5 others I was going to post…

I’ve been wondering what you are working on. Sounds great! Look forward to see more expansion of the indoor BS. I think this could lead to more “Friday Night’s Ops” below Nashville. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

And a nice level track for my #1 remote Couplers. BTW, just changed the remote Couplers on the GP40’s to “G” so I can run to Memphis with the new protein gondolas.

Since the weather is getting colder, does that mean we’ll see these guys again???

Andy has NEVER let me run the penguin train! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)

Bruce, cause when you have been here, it’s been too hot for penguins… I think you just want to run them to get them roasted, so you don’t have to go anywhere for food…

hehehe

Roasted penguin just ain’t on the menu… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)

Rooster, yes, those are the ones I was trying to get posted…

Still can’t get them to post myself, so I’ll try it this way…

The above photo shows the west wall of the basement… The track close to the aisle is the mainline, and the left track with the locomotive sitting it is basically the industrial area lead and the freight yard lead…

For those not aware, the lower level tracks are the freight yard for the outside layout…

Son, yes those are and thank you for posting them…

Below is a shot of the north west wall with the switches to the different locations… First right hand switch at the bottom is the main line…

The second right hand switch goes into the freight yard and the track at the back along the door runs to the industrial area.

The below shot shows the Main line in the foreground along with the start of a siding… The next six tracks is the Freight yard tracks…

In the background, you can see some of the tracks of the industrial area…

Below shot shows the Main line and siding in the foreground… The NW-2 is sitting in an engine pocket track… The tracks with the trains on them is a temporary freight yard for the outside operations…

There is an incline track that allows trains to be run from the lower level to the upper level, so cars don’t need to be picked up and moved…

Below is a shot from one aisle showing the mainline on the left and the siding… The GP-38 is sitting in another engine pocket track… The right side shows the leads into the freight yard.

The below picture shows the same location but from the aisle between the freight yard and the industrial area.

I appreciate all the help in getting the pictures to show… Thank you…

hehehe, SON… But you know the fund spent on trains provides much more fun… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Looks like nice progress. Lots of possibility. Thanks for sharing.

Extended the track around the southwest loop and back along the inside west wall this weekend…

Need to call Robby on Monday… My supplies keep disappearing… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
