Jerry

It gets better looking every time I see it Jerry. Are you planning lights in all the cars?

Regards, Greg

Jerry,

Very slick. Is that track powered?

The headlight looks good , the train really looks good , nice .

Oh I am SOOOO jealous!’

I dont know what you payed for that set, but it was worth every penny!

Sweet!

Did you know that on the speed record setting run of 1000 miles to the Chicago World’s Fair, the fuel cost was $14.62?

Amazing.

Now I want a Zephyr…

Thanks for the kind comments. Yes, it is track powered. I did the cab interior the other day since I knew I’d be putting the lights in. I took some pix of the real one in Chicago I’ve used for reference. It’s restored and in the Science and Industry museum. I do plan to do the rear observation car. I took out the other motor that it had back there, did not run the same speed as the front motor, and one is plenty-it’s HUGE! I plan to get lights from the same guys(Richmond Controls) for the back. Will have two flashing red leds made to put in the big back light, white ones for the side lights a small (he has some TINY ones!) for the rear desk lamp and a lighting strip to put across the top of the car, had that also for the front baggage/post office area. Having great fun! It would be easy to have a setup for battery power, may get that rigged to take down to Marty’s in Sept. Jerry

Didn’t think that would take long. Put those lights on battery, so they don’t impact the running. Look forward to seeing it at Marty’s.
